    Greetings. I have rented Unit #** at H313********038343831Hern H3233323439313**43236H Mini Storage for over four years and paid them over $5,000 (five thousand dollars in business). I always hand deliver my monthly payment by check. Earlier this year they closed their office and only have a drop box available at the same building. My last two checks (for August and September) were dropped off on time and by hand. However they were not cashed and they put a lock on my unit. Meanwhile they sent a statement on September 12, 2023 that, in addition to asking for a late fee of $10, list: a) check "processing fee" of $20, b) $30 fee with no description, and c) arrive at a total that comes to $10 more than the itemized $350. i.e. At best their mail keeping and accounting are in poor hands. Over the past 18 days I have written two letters and made 4 phone calls, speaking with four different people, none who have been able to give me a straight answer. They do not confirm my letters. They do not tell me who the manager is. They are "polite" but of no real service. Nor has anyone in accounting or management gotten back to me. I have become convinced that they are playing this game so as to force me to sign up to automatic payments, which I refuse to do. That *** be the only way they want to do business but the way they are going about it is highly unethical. Actually, I suspect it is illegal for a business to keep a person's storage unit locked for weeks while they refuse to promptly attend to demonstrable billing inconsistencies. Conclusion: Up until now I have been an ideal storage unit renter who has paid them a lot of money. However, recently they have become either incompetent or corrupt. It is more for the latter concern that I am bringing this to your attention. I just want to settle, after a word with their accounting, with a single payment, and then move out. Please advise as I believe they will continue to stonewall me.Sincerely, *********************

    Greetings. The owner finally contacted me by phone. We reviewed the matter. They found and cashed one check. The other is still missing which is not good but less worrisome. He credited me for some of the extra charges, unlocked the unit and says he will prorate me for this month depending on when I have finally moved everything out. I am satisfied with his actions and hope soon to call this matter resolved. Thank you VERY MUCH for your assistance. I appreciate your organization very much. Sincerely, *****************
