    They put in a mini split system for ** in January 2021. Recently we found out that they never had the mini split inspected and the permit that was obtained was cancelled. Multnomah County said a new permit has to be obtained. I have tried to get Mengis Heating to take care of this and they are very unresponsive. Today I spoke to a supervisor at Mengis. She told me she would call right away and order a new permit. I asked the supervisor to call me after she ordered the new permit. She said she would but she did not call me back. I am so frustrated!! I just want the mini-split to be inspected so I know the equipment at our rental property is safe and installed correctly.

    This has already been taken care of. We went out and made sure everything was in order, paid for a new permit, and scheduled a final inspection.

    Mengis Heating and Cooling put in a mini-split system for us and arranged an electrician to put in a new circuit breaker. The final inspection was not done on the circuit breaker. ****** Mengis said he would arrange with the electrician to get the final inspection and he has not done it. I have left several messages with the company and I never get a return call.

    We had a air conditioning unit (*******) installed in December 2022 and it has not been fully functional since the install. There have been numerous attempts since April 2023 via phone and email to have service to our system (which is under warranty). Mengis ******************************** has visited our house on three occasions since reporting the issue to diagnose and attempt to fix the system - none have been successful (refill coolant, replace Nest thermostat w/ OEM thermostat, fix to increase the BTUs); the issue has yet to be diagnosed or resolved. On Friday, 9/8/2023, the unit fully failed and tripped the breaker - it is no longer functioning. I called for a service appointment on Monday, 9/11 and was told that it is scheduled for Friday, 9/15 between 2-3PM with ******. When I called to confirm the appointment later in the week, it was confirmed for early morning as the "first stop" with ****** and team. They never showed up in the morning or afternoon - and my phone calls are not being answered to request an update. This has been a repeated pattern with the person answering phones - leading to us not getting adequate support. We've had great service in the past and the technicians are knowledgable, friendly, and typically responsive. I'm not sure what is causing the disruption; but we are requesting support as a customer.I request that my warranty is honored and the air conditioning system is either 1) repaired, 2) replaced, or 3) fully refunded.
