This company is a total scam. Did I sign an agreement back in the summer of 2024? yes. I thought they were legit. My husband was dying at the time so I didn't pay a lot of attention for their visits, however, on 1/11/25, they appeared at my door. I did not answer. I sat in my living room, saw the tech walk right in front of my big LR window where he supposedly looked for stuff under the *****, did nothing. He then walked to my side yard which is also visible, stood there, sprayed nothing. he was here approx 4 minutes, yet nothing done and left. I received the attached detail. Total BS. I called and cancelled my acct and they waiver the termination fee of $189 but still insist I pay for the 1/11 visit. I explained to ******* ( states they don't have call reference #, which is unheard of) that services were not rendered. She asked if I had video proof, uhh no, my own eyes but I should have asked if they had video proof that they provided a servIce. Their customer "portal" is not secure and even if I thought it was legit, I would not use it. I have impeccable credit and do not want a bad **** due to this. I requested a bill be sent to my home address. I would consider paying it just to get them off my back but I would send money order. as they will not have access to any of my bank or credit information. I had to close my credit card because of them and disputed the charge, however because of the scam agreement I signed, ATT reversed the credit. This is so wrong.Sincerely,***** *******

A salesman came to my door even with my no soliciting signs. After talking he said I can cancel after three treatments which included the treatment done that day. The cobweb cleaning was spotty and I saw more pests with each treatment. I called in August 2024 to cancel and was told the other man was wrong and I needed 4 treatments to cancel as the first didnt count. The story is changed now. I scheduled for September 5th with this *** on the phone. No one called or showed up. I get a text for 9/19 and again no call no show from the company. Im taking time from work for this. I call again 10/16 to cancel and get a third story that I must have 5 treatments to cancel. Im not taking anymore time off work for more lies. *** then said the *** did come for the 9/19 appt, I said that wasnt true as I was home and have cameras. She then said the *** said my street was closed. There was a detour and it was not closed. I also saw an eco truck on my street that day! I have paid for my original obligation and refuse to pay for anymore sub par services or take more time off work when they wont show up and wont honor what I was sold. I was also never given the contract I agreed to.

A sales representative came to my door and I signed a request for them to come out and exterminate rats ?? in my yard. They came out and serviced the house across the street but never came to my house. My wife was very sick with cancer so I had my curtains closed and waited for them to knock. They never came so I looked out and saw they were gone. They didnt come that day so I called the company the next day and told them to cancel my order. They still charged me for the service they never performed. Today they called wanting the money saying that I owed them for the service call they never provided.

Business sends out door to door sales personnel I agreed to let them treat for wasps the salesman had a tablet and asked me to initial a few places in the tablet I said I needed a copy he said one would be sent to me, I never received it. I agreed to let them treat for wasps and wrote them a check on 7/11/24 and gave it to the salesman. They came out one more time in August and then I started to receive text messages from the company requesting payment then on 9/09/24 I received a text message saying I was *********************************************** over to a 3rd party collection I called the number they provided ************ and it was answered by someone in a call center with many people talking in the background like a robo call center I tried to explain why hat I couldnt be 90 days past due since it hadnt even been 90 days that the salesman was out the first time and that I had already written them a check, they said I owed a late fee and I couldnt get them to realize that it was impossible to be 90 days late, I said I would pay if they canceled my service and they said I would owe late fee and early cancellation fee.I think this business is a scam and I want to be done with them and make sure they cancel do this to anyone else. I have copies of check and of threatening text messages.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. I want to sincerely apologize for any possible miscommunication during the time of sign-up. For situations like these were information can be quickly ran through or mistakenly missed, we send out a welcome to the family text highlighting the three most important details of our contract, which lists the type of contract you are on, the billable cycles, and the cancellation process which states if you decide to term your contract, you are responsible for paying back the discount given to you at the time of service. All of this information was sent in a text which was acknowledged and agreed to when you responded  "Yes" to that message.

Given the situation, I am truly empathetic and want to part ways in good standing. With this being said, I am going to do a one time courtesy waive for your cancellation balance on the account as an act in good faith. I unfortunately cannot waive any fees for your services charges due to product being used. So after the cancellation fee was waived, your remaining balance is $226.14.

I hope this helps and you are able to find the treatment that is most helpful for your home.

    Best,

ONE JULY 31ST A ECOSHIELD SALESMAN CAME TO HOUSE AND SAID HE COULD TREAT OUR ************ FOUNDATION FOR ANTS, SPIDERS, ETC. WITH 2 TREATMENTS. WE PAID HIM $189.00 PLUS TAX. HE SENT A MAN TO DO THE *** THE NEXT DAY. THE MAN HAD A 4" X 4" JAR WOTH GRANULES THAT HE PUT IN A WHIRLY BIRD TO TREAT THE ************ AND A LONG STICK WITH A BUSHY ROUND BRUSH SPRAYED WITH INSECTICEDE(?) THAT HE BRUSSHED UNDER THE EVES OF THE HOUSE. HE WAS DONE IN 30 MINS. AND WE HADE TO TELL HIM TO GET SPIDERS WEBS ON ALL THE OUTDOOE LIGHTS AND UNDER THE SIDING. 3 WEEKS LATER WE HAD AN INFESTATION OF ANTS COME INTO THE HOUSE. WE CALLED ECOSHIELD AND CANCELLED THE NEXT TREATMENT WHICH WAS QUITE AN ARGUMENT. ECOSHIELD CALLED US AGAIN ON AUG. 29TH REMINDING US OF APOINTMENT THE FOLLOWING WEEK WHICH WAS A BIGGER ARGUMENT. NOW THEY RE TRYING TO COLLECT FOR THAT TREATMENT (WHICH WAS NEVER PERFORMED). IN FACT THEY ARE HARASSING US FOR PAYMENT. OUR ASSESSMENT IS THAT THE COMPANY IS A FRAUD.

    Dear ***,

Thank you for reaching out. After reviewing your account, I can confirm that the $228 balance is not a charge for services, but rather the annual commitment discount payback applied due to the early cancellation of your agreement. This is a standard part of the agreement when services are canceled prematurely. Attached is a copy of the agreement you signed.

We value your feedback and hope this clarifies the balance on your account.

I am rejecting this response because     We were never given or showed an agreement. *****,your sales **** had me (***************************) sign a spot on his phone twice supposedly for permission to treat the property for spiders, ants and such and also to take payment for the service from our credit card.   So yesterday, I ran a search in my email and found the Service Agreement.  It was sent on August 3rd, the day after ***** signed us up for the service and after ****** had done whatever it is that he does.  Now we know why ***** didnt give us the service agreement. ***** used egregious sales tactics, and we dont know if he decides that himself or if the company taught and instructed him to do so.  We believe it is the latter because no one would ever sign that agreement if they had read it.
We also found an alarming WARNING on page 2 of you Service Agreement.  We asked ****** if we should bring our cat inside and ****** assured us the chemicals he was using were perfectly safe. Our cat became lethargic and wasnt eating very well within a few days. By the time we got him into the vet, he had lost 4 pounds.  He had an acute kidney infection, and we gave him antibiotics twice a day for 14 days.  He perked up for a few days and then quickly became very sick, weak, and was suffering. We had to have him put down on the 26th of August and now, since we read your warning, we firmly believe your chemicals killed him because he was perfectly healthy and happy before that. He was our beloved pet for many years.  His vet bills and medicine were over $800. We find your tactics reckless, irresponsible and egregious and are going to contact the Clark County prosecuting attorneys office.
    Sincerely,

    *** And ***************************

Sales person ignoed No Soliticing and claimed to not be selling anything. Persistent even when I told they were trespassing and needed to leave and that they were indeed soliciting trying to sell pest services. When asked for their name they refused.

Not transparent, unethical practices. DO NOT sign up before reading this. See full PDF description. Tue 6/11/24 EcoShield salesman came to door. Said neighbor had gnats inside their home (we had + other neighbors). Stated they sprayed inside/outside & gnats were gone within 1 day. I have never used a service like this before, but agreed to sign up for their coverage. At no point during my convos did they mention that I had just 3 days to cancel service or would be forced to pay penalty fee.Wed 6/12/24 tech sprayed interior/exterior of house. Gnat problem never got better & worsened following week. Fri 6/21/24 I contacted customer service line trying to cancel service due to worsening of gnats. On phone w/ customer service rep then supervisor for >*****. Both told me to have avoided a cancellation fee I needed to cancel within 3 days of signing up. They claimed that based upon a text message they sent me on 6/11/24 & which I responded YES to that I had agreed to this cancellation fee. Nowhere in this text message does it say that I had 3d to cancel to avoid the cancellation fee (see screenshot). They both tried to sell me on receiving extra services. Based upon contract EcoShield is supposed to be quarterly service = 4x per year. For my problem they would need to treat my home at least 5 times in the first year if not more. This is blatant misrepresentation of services. Also, the tech missed knocking down one of the wasps nests present (photo). After >60min of getting nowhere I canceled service out of frustration & had them remove my CC from their file.Sat 7/6/24 billing team began reaching out to me via Email, ************ saying payment is owed. We feel they did not do what they said/wrote & are using unethical practices. ALSO: there are 3 other people in neighborhood who have cancelled EcoShield plans for similar reasons.Had they voided penalties I would have let it go, but predatory practices convinced me to post this hoping that it will help others.

May 1st '24 door salesman (no solicitor sign posted) whittled down the pest control service from around 400 to 169 - 169 For the entire year, equals 4 quarterly services.I questioned him carefully on that. (Finding their contact info/address is not easy, closest one I found is Tigard OR) He seemed very trustworthy.I initialed a contract which I could not read, on his pad. He seemed very, very trustworthy. First service done that day, I saw neighbor getting a service done too, as he pointed out.About a week ago, a service tech came by and did a second service. I asked him at door, there was nothing to sign, I'd already paid at the first service, he nodded his head yes. I saw the charge of 169 that night - I'd been scammed.I called EchoShield twice that day - ....they offered reduced costs but my point was that I signed up for 4 services at a one time cost of 169, I would NEVER agree to paying that amount 4 times in the year. They told me it was 5 services I signed up for, the first time I heard this number. At the end, the rep said I would owe around 231. for quitting, they would invoice me on an email. I gave permission to send me confirmation of my quitting, but said NO to giving permission to send me a quitting invoice, which they sent.I called the credit card company and cancelled the card that EchoSheild used, and the customer rep told me that the charge of 231. did not make it onto my card, but the second charge of 169. did, but I had to wait to dispute it, it had to post first. A few days later the charge posted, and I called them back, their clerk put the second charge of 169. in dispute. Could take up to 90 days for resolution. *I'm concerned about the 231. part for quitting. I've only received the initial invoice by email. Do I need to worry about that? BTW the neighbor (a senior like me) found out the scam same day as me - She was billed again after the second service. I am disputing the second charge paid of 169. Thanks!
