If you're ok paying $416 per hour for labor, Wolfers is the company for you.I was charged $625 quite literally for the removal of a couple of pipes from under a bathroom sink, which is only a portion of the work that I actually expected to receive. Wolfers says the total time assigned to the job was around 1 hour 30 minutes. There were no parts, just simple pipe removal. ******** management has informed me that I got a "great deal", with a not-so-subtle implication that I should be grateful for what I received. Further, they pointed out that I had signed the contract for the work and agreed to the price, so essentially this was on me. However, the contract and the sign off was on the plumber's cell phone, and I signed off with the understanding I was getting the entire vanity removed from my bathroom, not just the removal of a couple of pipes. Wolfers management simply says this was an unfortunate miscommunication, refused to budge on price, and followed that up with a condescending lecture about how much it costs to run a business. So, bottom line is that if you believe that paying $416 an hour for labor represents a "great deal", then you'll be ecstatic with the 'value' this company provides.

$4500.00 for a replacement water heater??? explanation for cost was because it is located in the attic and difficult to access. Since I had water dripping in the garage from the old water heater, I didnt have the time to "shop around". After a full day of removing the old unit and installing the new, worker left and forgot to turn the ********** on. There was never a reason given for why the ********** was turned off when the work and replacement was for the water heater. It was very cold that night and I had no heat! worker returned the next day at sometime after 10:00 a.m. ,turned the switch on and never gave an explanation or apology for the error. Needless to say, I will never call Wolfers again for any future work.

I feel this company took advantage of my wife and charged an exorbitant price to install a garbage disposal. They charged her $750.00 for a job that took less than an hour and one half. I supplied the disposal and it was pre=wired, so the only thing to do after installing it was to plug it in. I felt he could have made it right but explained they have a set rate. Had I been told their set rate, i would not have hired them. There is nothing I can do as they are right that my wife could have turned them down for the job,. I still feel they ripped me off.

Very ********************* Experience and Peak Season Price Gouging.I used to have great respect for this company and their customer service, which I found to be honest and reliable. Unfortunately, my recent experience with their AC repair services left me frustrated and misled. The story begins several years ago. During a visit to address an issue with my air conditioning unit, they informed me that my system had a small leak and had lost approximately 15% of its refrigerant (410A) over the last two years. They claimed that, according to *** regulations, they were required to repair the system. They then identified the leak in the evaporator coil and provided a quote of $5,000 for the repair, even though I found the same part online for $600. When I brought this up, they insisted that additional materials, labor, and refrigerant were necessary to justify the cost and refused to just add some refrigerant. Even after I went to their office to sit down with the service manager to explain things, they refused to just ********* make matters worse, I later discovered their claim about the *** repair requirement was false. The *** only mandates repairs for ************ containing more than 50 pounds of refrigerant, which doesnt apply to typical home systems. Despite this, I decided to give them another chance about a year later. After discussing the *** rule with a manager, they agreed to recharge my system instead of pushing for the $5,000 repair. However, they then quoted me over $1,000 just to add 1 pound of refrigerant, which seemed excessive. I turned them down and found another provider who completed the job for $110.This experience occurred during the peak of AC season, and I felt compelled to share my story. I cant help but think of how a retired person on a fixed income might have struggled in my situation. Its truly disappointing to see a once-great company take advantage of customers in this way. Shame on them.

This company sucks! I scheduled a appt for August 12th. I waited 10 hours and no one ever showed up. I called at 2pm and they told me I was still on the schedule for today. Then I called at 6pm because no one called or showed up and they said I think you are on the schedule for the 22nd. They don't know what they are doing and you can't get a straight answer from anyone. I should bill them for my 10 hours of waiting for service. If you can't run a better service you should not be in business.

I have used ******** services for two or three years and have generally been satisfied although I felt their prices were too high. However in March of this year I asked for an electrician to come out and take a look at a bathroom light that was not working properly. A technician named **** came out looked at the breaker in the bathroom and then checked the outside electrical box where service comes into the house. He did something with the outside box and then reset the bathroom light. What I had thought would be a $99 service fee resulted in a $600 charge. I was not informed that the work that was done which took less than an hour would cost $600. As far as I could tell very little work was done. When I called to check about the invoice I was told that the charge was for troubleshooting which was minimal and involved checking the junction box outside the house. I also was told that I was paying for materials, but no materials were used. When I asked what kinds of materials would cost $600, I was told electrical materials. Then I was told that electricians are like doctors. If you go into the office for a checkup, even if it seems mine or, you can walk out owing thousands of dollars. I don't know of any doctor Who Would charge thousands of dollars without informing the patient about exactly what costs were for. This company cannot tell me what work was done and cannot tell me what the charges were actually for. I have been promised a return call from the manager in the electrical division for 2 days, but no one has called. I believe the charges were fraudulent and I encourage people to look elsewhere for their service.Further, when I had my annual inspection, the plumber told me that the bathroom drain ran slowly. And that it should be snaked out. I asked how much that would cost and was astonished that it was hundreds of dollars. I cleaned it out myself with a mini snake which cost less than $10 at ***********

I love this company. Every thing is great now. Thanks to all the professional installers that came and also ********************** for a great presentation. My ducted heat pump and furnace were toast. Way old. I knew before they came out to look at it. I decided to get a ductless system which was recommended by friends and Wolfers. Wolfers came up a few times and I actually found an old business card. Long story short I'm happy as a clam. 6 hours after coming here I have heat and A/C and works awesome. Thanks

On April 16th, 2024, Wolfers service technician performed a bi-annual maintenance of our furnace and air conditioning unit at our home address in ************. As a result of this service, their technician deemed the furnace as unsafe, red tagged the furnace and shut off the gas. We immediately received a quote of $1,259.82 to repair the Air Conditioning Unit and a quote of $6,513.78 to repair the furnace. We then subsequently received quotes for a complete replacement of the furnace ranging between $13,140 and $14,521.Since we currently live outside of the US, we notified our property manager who then provided our tenants temporarily with room heaters. We then provided our property manager the test results from Wolfers and asked them to have one of their suppliers provide a 2nd quote for the repairs. Since their supplier was not able to make sense of the test results that Wolfers provided, he completed a 2nd maintenance service on April 17th, 2024. Their supplier reported no cracks in the heat exchanger, determined that the furnace is working as designed, stated that there is no repair or replacement required and turned the furnace back on.On April 18th, I have requested that Wolfers Management consider my email summarizing the information above as a formal and immediate termination of my maintenance contract and expressed that I am evaluating next steps against Wolfers and will be seeking reimbursement and compensation to be outlined at a later point. To this date they have not acknowledged the receipt of my email.
