    walked in this store to have notary witness a document that my wife and I need to sign. I was never told by the branch manager **** Wallace or the notary, ************************* there is a service charge that is based on how many stamps they put on a document. I would not use their service because I can get it for free in my bank down the street. On top of that, ****** put 2 stamps on my document even 1 would suffice. Again she never consulted with us and get our consent. When I questioned her for the $20 charge, she smiled awkwardly without the answer. I know these stores are franchised, but no customer should be tricked into this service. You should tell customers how much and how you will charge customers. I demand a least $10 refund.

    I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the service that you received at our store on Wednesday, and I would love to make it up to you.As I mentioned on the phone, if the notary did indeed charge you for an additional notarial act by mistake, then I would gladly refund you for that error.
    You mentioned over the phone and in your complaint that we should have informed you about the price of the notary service before we performed the service for you. As you saw and I reiterated to you over the phone, our notary pricing is clearly posted and is the same for every customer as required by law. We have never advertised free notarization, but we believe that we charge a fair rate for the service considering that we always have a notary on staff and provide additional related services like scanning, faxing, and expedited shipping.
    I would ask that you please come in with the document in question and give me a chance to make it right by refunding you for any mistaken notary fees. I would also ask that you **** this complaint as resolved and remove it. As you are aware, we are a small locally owned business, and we dont want any of our customers (be they local or just visiting) to feel like they were cheated or mistreated.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    proof to provide staff training that they inform customers the notary is. For fee service 

    move the rate sign to face the customer when walking in and remind customers
