I consigned a 2018 Bentley Continental to **** and it eventually sold after 2 plus months. The real complaint is they took over 30 days to pay me for the Bentley they sold. I communicated every week asking where my funds were and got different excuses every time. I asked them if my car was paid for before it was allowed off their lot. They of course admitted it was. After the third week I demanded the funds by a specific date or my attorney would get involved. I was told during this conversation they already sent a check. The dealership is in Portland and I live in ****** so after another week with still no check I made my final call only to be told it should arrive any time now and blamed the ************ I gave them the benefit of doubt and allowed 2 more days to pass before I would turn this over to my attorney. The 2 days passed and still no check so one last conversation informing them this is now in my attorneys hands. Amazingly the next day I had a *** RED letter with a check. This had no mention of being a replacement check for the "lost" one which you would typically do for your records. No mention of if and when the original check arrives what to do with it. It's been weeks since I was told the check was mailed and that mysterious check has still not arrived. In my opinion this is a clear case of fraud and unjust enrichment and all buyers and potential sellers should be aware of their poor business practices. My only regret is I didn't act sooner and should have trusted my instincts. **** sight 20/20 I would have let the attorneys fight this out to expose the sham business practices **** operates under.
