      I took possession of the modular home in Jan. 2023. Within the time of the warranty I notified the company of the defect in the flooring. Nothing was done to resolve the issue. the defective flooring only got worse and the Fleetwood Homes tried to indicate that the chairs were causing the issue . However, I had put felt pads on the chairs to protect the flooring.It only got worse.I asked them, emailing ****************************************** and ***************************, to contact the manufacturer but that did not happen, either.I was in "negotiations" via email agreed to a cash settlement-out of frustration.They, then sent a a letter of release that acknowledges that the flooring was a "Warranty Repair"They had offered to give me replacement materials but not installation. Installation was estimated to be $3000 from two separate installers. I believe the release letter is their acknowledgement that the flooring is defective and the resolution I want is replacement "at no charge to the Customer(s)" as their letter states.Hopefully, the BBB can influence them to honor their warranty.

      You are correct and did report the vinyl flooring issues you are experiencing in your Fleetwood Manufactured home within the applicable time. However, the issues you are experiencing are not warrantable issues. These issues are being caused by unprotected furniture feet or sliding said furniture across the floor with weight bearing on them. These issues were not present, or noted at the time,when you received the home and signed the Home acceptance checklist.

      Because this is not a warrantable issue by either Fleetwood or BeauFlor, it was never turned in as a complaint to BeauFlor.

      Fleetwood wants all of our Homeowners to be happy in with their home and as such, we offer help to many of our customers beyond that of the warranty, as we have done in your case.

      Fleetwood first offered you enough LVP flooring to cover the affected areas, at no cost, and you would provide the labor. This is our small way of trying to help make the situation better even though its not a warrantable issue. I believe you accepted initially, but then changed your mind and were offered a cash settlement in the amount that it would cost us for the **** This $900.00 cash sum was offered as a courtesy and only as a courtesy. Unfortunately, we used our standard settlement paperwork that *** have led you to believe this was a warranty issue. We use this form as it has all the legally needed info on all monetary exchanges. Please understand, yours is not,in any way, a warranty issue.

      The original offer of $900.00 still stands and we will honor it. Its been about a year and a half since you took possession of your home. We would like to get closure, as I am sure you would as well. So I hope you can accept this offer of good will.

      This manufactured home was purchased by the owner of the Park on 4/12/2022, and purchased by myself on 6/22/2022. The Supervisor at their ********, ****** office is stating the home is out of warranty, but will not tell ** the length of the warranty. Their website states 1 year, and I am well within 1 year. ***** also stated we are not in their service area, but since the home was sold to someone in this area, how is it you dont service it? That doesnt make any common sense. I would like the repairs to be done or be compensated for getting the repairs done myself.

      Fleetwood Homes, **** (Fleetwood) warrants to the ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER that your new home, including the structure, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems installed by Fleetwood, is warranted under normal use to be free from manufacturing defects in material or workmanship. Any such defects will be repaired or replaced at Fleetwoods discretion. The owner is responsible for normal home maintenance as described in the Owners Manual.

       

      Term

      This Limited Warranty begins on the date of the close of sale to the ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER and extends for a period of one year from that date for non-cosmetic defects and for a period of ninety days for the cosmetic defects described below. This Limited Warranty covers only those defects that become evident within the applicable warranty period, and where notice was given to the selling retailer or Fleetwood not later than ten (10) days after the expiration of the warranty period.

       

      The customers complaint clearly states that she is the second owner and thus the warranty above does not apply to her purchase. However, Fleetwood Homes has, as we often do, offered a onetime assistance and will repair some, if not all, of the items the customer has asked for. We send repairs crews to her area as we have work and will gladly schedule her work to be done at that time.
