    I purchased a canoe from Lancaster County Marine. The total price included $600 for shipping. The canoe came to me damaged in shipping. I refused it. In the end I spent $900 to go get the canoe myself. They refused to return my shipping cost because ***** refused their request for a refund. To me thats their problem. I paid $600 for shipping and did not receive the paid for shipping.

    We have the full intent of refunding *** ******* the appropriate amount for shipping his original canoe on 7/6/22 and received on 7/11/22 damaged. *** ******* did refuse the damaged canoe and we support his decision. Then on 10/25/22, *** ******* drove to our store and picked up the replacement canoe and did get safely home.

    We are sorry for any inconvenience from the original shipment, however, this has been beyond both of our control.

    The calculation for the shipping refund will be done fairly as there were items shipped that were able to be kept and there is a PA sales tax due because the canoe was picked up here. We are still working with ***** to get as much refund as we can. We did replace the canoe at our expense and have received no compensation yet from *** ** for the damaged canoe or any shipping.

    Please rest assured that we have been diligent with this claim and be as fair as possible in *** *******’s settlement. We would like to get this claim behind us sooner than later for both of our sakes.

    He is a good customer and we appreciate his working with us through this.

    On October of 2021 I met Dale in his office we made an agreement that I would purchase a boat from his company with the understanding that he would deliver the boat in April or may of 2022 . I reached out to Dale on a number of occasions to get a a status on delivery. Finally on August of 2022 I made a decision to rescind the order and made a request for a refund of my $1500 deposit. Dale on August 25 th send an email to state my deposit was non refundable. He said there was an agreement signed by both parties. I tried to express he was unable to commit to a delivery date as per our agreement. Reading through other complaints this seems to be a pattern of his . Thanks

    ***** ******* purchased a new ********* boat from Lancaster County Marine Inc. on 10/26/21.  The bill of sale/agreement that was signed electronically by both parties clearly states All Sales  FINAL/Non-Cancellable -- Deposits Non-Refundable and Subject to 2023 pricing & availability. This  was also all explained to him at time of contract. His down payment was also made by a check and  not by credit card as *** ******* stated in his note. 
    ***** had been in touch with us along the way and was always advised that the delay was due to  the issues involved in manufacturing. This was made known even when he initially purchased; that  the supply chain and manufacturing was not predictable for the finished product. However, he was  always assured that ********* was consistently coming through and that patience would be needed  and that in the end, his wait would be worth it. 
    UPDATE: His order is now coming up for the next round of builds. This is the way that the system  works. Should he continue on with his order, he will be delighted with his ********* boat and our  (Lancaster County Marine, Inc.) support. 
    If he wants to remain with his cancellation, his deposit is not refundable, however it can be used for  a future like or greater purchase with us.
