    On 08/17/24 I purchased tickets from the business. The refund policy did not state that tickets were nonrefundable. After learning that I am not able to attend, I requested a refund. They denied my request on 08/19/24 citing that tickets were non refundable. After being confronted that their refund policy did not state that, I was provided a screenshot of their event description with line stating non refundable at the bottom of the page. This was not clearly stated on the event page prior to purchase and am requesting assistance in obtaining a refund in the amount of $43.50

    The customer purchased tickets August 17, 2024 for an event happening August 24, 2024. The tickets purchased were a “Buy One Get One Free” special through the ticketing platform utilized by the organizers. Forty-eight hours later, August 19, 2024 the customer requested a refund stating “I am no longer able to attend and am requesting a refund”.  The request was declined as the festival tickets were not refundable and the customer was informed, they could transfer the tickets to another person.

    The customer responded that there was no statement that the tickets were non-refundable prior to purchase. However, we provided screenshots of the event description showing that we did state the tickets were “non-refundable” on both the ticketing platform description and the Facebook event page description. The customer claimed it was not clearly stated and would report us to the BBB.

    Upon reviewing the attendance records of the event, it was noticed this customer’s tickets were scanned for entry on August 24, 2024 at 2:20 PM.  Therefore, the customer either attended the event themself or gave the tickets to another person who attended. As both tickets were used to attend the festival a refund will not provided to the customer.

    Since it is stated in the descriptions that tickets are non-refundable and the customer used the tickets to enter the event, we would request that this complaint be removed.
