    Business Response

    Date: 10/07/2024

    Hellow,

Mr. ******** **** bought us a refrigerator used on February 5, 2024, The fridge started giving him trouble, we sent the technician to check what was happening, we agreed that so that his food doesn't get damaged we would take a temporary fridge and the one he bought us would take her back to the store to check it better. When we returned the fridge to her house, she gave her the same problem again. The solution was to change it to another, he visited us to the store to choose another refrigerator. He chose the new refrigerator, when we agreed for the delivery, disappeared completely, (I don't understand why), he didn't answer the calls, we left him many messages which we have for trial and never answered, until months later, in late September, that apparently gave him trouble again.

When he communicated in the store, I was out of the country, I couldn't personally solve that problem. So I sent a replacement technician the same day. Despite my distance, I offered to change the fridge to prevent food from getting damaged and although he never answered the messages or calls when the refrigerator was required months ago, despite everything he wanted to solve the problem.
He just said no, he wants his money back, after about 7 months. Well, I immediately arrived in the country I personally communicated with him and told him I would return the refrigerator money to avoid discussions with him, who would go to find my fridge on Friday 4th of October and return the money. He answers me, I dont have the fridge anymore, but whatever he wants his money back.

Now he's grabbing this ***** tale, which wasn't even his case, to bother us and be doing bad propaganda.

Sorry, we tried to do everything possible to make Mr ********* satisfied, but he did not cooperate.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The reason I had declined having this companies personal technician out to fix my fridge is because I had already gotten a local very reputable technician who has a repair company that deals with ** refrigerators come and look at the issue with this fridge.  We all assumes the only issue was the compressor which often fails normally over time with the fridge.  I had contacted ** myself because there was a recall on this type of compressor and they were willing to reimburse me for the cost of the compressor as it was a part on recall years prior which is available to read online.  However, when the technician came, as I stated before, he was in complete shock and dismay of what he found as submitted in photos.  He said he is willing to testify that there is no way any normal person could have done the damage to that fridge in anyway and that it had to be "rigged" to work for a fast sale.  Yes, I had this fridge beyond the company warranty however I feel they put parts in this fridge to make it work for a little while.  I have no idea how to bypass motherboards nor wiring and add parts from other fridges as they did to this one and as stated, could only be done by a place of business with multiple appliances for sale trying to make a quick dollar.

When I first call the store after these findings this buisness refused to admit I was their customer.  I provided my name and phone number and states his men were the ones who delivered the fridge to my home and I had records to prove purchase.   They still argued they didn't know who I was and wasn't in their system.

I told them what we discovered while I was still in the room on speaker phone with the technician I hired and they still refused to believe what was founded and argued.

I asked if they could refund me the money for the fridge and technicians cost and they can come take the fridge back gladly as is.

They wanted to still send their own technician out whom at this point I'm afraid to have in my home after wires were cut and changed by them nd I could have had a house fire.

II have a disabled child at home and we were without a fridge for two weeks and I was forced to order a brand new fridge to keep my family from going hungry and without food that wasn't spoiled due to the lack of care or concerns or resolution from this company.

I again tried days later to make contact with them and they told me just to take them to court and hung up on me.

The costs I have incurred from this disaster and this company not taking some responsibility for this mess has cauzed me alot of money. I cannot wait weeks or months for a resolve when it comes to food.  I tried my best to settle this personally and just ask for a refund as I feel I was frauded a fridge that could have caught fire from the way they cut wires on a motherboard to make it work.  My technician said it would cost me thousands to repair a whole motherboard and the whole system.  There is a Vac lock on the system also now.  I'm angry what worse this could have been.  I want this company to repay me for the loss of food, technician bill and again what I paid for the fridge.  I have submitted photo evidence of the damage they did as well as receipt of payment from my bank to the personally.  There is absolutely no way I could ever know how to rewire a fridge and put my family at risk.  I've no idea how that works nor would I ever allow anyone else to do so.

If there is not a refund for this case, I will seek satisfaction from a local news company and also contact the local district attorneys office to file court proceedings.

Again they are welcome to come take the fridge back as I still have it for proof of what was done, testimony from a licensed technician, photos and bank statements and I am just asking for a civil refund and then I will put this to rest.

    Regards,

    **** ****

ad a vacuum lock reading for him and he said he would have to replace the whole guts of this fridge which would cost upwards of $2,000.00. I cried and called Albert's Appliances asking for a refund and they refused and tried saying I'm not even in their system. I asked for this to be civil and just want my money back for what I paid and the technician cost of 116 dollars even though I was also out a food order. The manager refuses to take my calls now. I have a disabled child at home and having a working fridge is a necessity especially with his needs. I've never been ripped off before and this upsets me. The technician said he would be glad to verify any and all things he found that could have only been done by this appliance store. I'm asking for a refund fully and they can gladly have the fridge back as I now had to find a replacement unexpectedly.

    Business Response

    Helow, good afternoon.

Yes, the lady contacted us at our office. We are very sorry for this situation that is happening.

First, the manager contacted her immediately to see what was happening. She explained the situation to her, the manager immediately told her that we'll send her a technician of ours to see what was happening. He refused, he just wants his money back.

We're a sales company for used household appliances, we've been facing a situation of approximately 2 years since she made this purchase. We put our guarantee for only four months and we don't return money.

But besides that, we offer you that we will allow us to solve the problem by sending our technician, even if the guarantee has expired. Two years ago we didn't have the same system to present our clients. It was all manual, since it was approximately our beginning. That's why he's not on the system now. But we asked him if he had the receipt he was given at that time. Apparently he doesn't. But we haven't refused to help her yet.

Please, ma'am, contact us. Tell us the date when you made your payment of the bank account, to look for your bill. We immediately get all the information about buying this refrigerator in our store, we can help you with our technician's services. And see if we can help with a new fridge.
