I recently applied to do a course offered by wtti. The information I received via email was not sufficient and partially misleading. I was under the impression that it was one price. To later find out I'm required to pay them and ***. In the email it goes onto state that no additional fees for part b exam. Which lead me to the impression that it's the fixed rate wtti offered and no others fees would be assessed outside of the book. I just want my application processing fee returned as well. This cost me too much money just to mislead by false information. I jaded to take out a loan from the bank and have to pay that interest back! I get what they already promised they would to return me plus application processing fee. This email and the website never tell you its required to a member of *** to take the test let alone you will be certified by ***. They need to update their information on their website and what goes i to the email body. I have already notified my and submitted this information to them as well.

    Hi *******,

We had received a letter from you regarding a complaint filed by a *** *** *********** about information we provided him on our Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) course.

Our organization has been providing this course for over 3 decades in conjunction with administering the national standardized exam at our facility for the American Welding Society.

After expressing interest in the course, *** * received an email from our Training Coordinator, ****.

The email provided details on enrolling in the course and its related fees, as well as, the process of applying to take the national standardized exam through the American Welding Society including the exam fee payable to them.

The email that was forwarded to *** * is sent out to all individuals who express interest in our CWI course.

*** * is the only participant who understood or rather misunderstood the information as he described in his complaint.

Unfortunately, *** * either did not read through the email completely or he had a problem comprehending what he read.

After learning of *** *’s dilemma regarding the fee for the exam, our Training Coordinator worked with him and provided the options he had at that juncture in time.

*** *  chose to move forward with taking the course. He attended it last week at our facility.

At this point, we have made some minor changes to the emailed information in an attempt to make it even more clear.

Again, *** * is the only individual over the many years that we have been sharing the info via email that understood or misunderstood it in the manner he described in his complaint.
