    I hired *************************** to take up tile and lay a refinished hardwood floor in my foyer to match the floors in the rest of my home. He has done many jobs for me in the past. I called him in March 2023 to schedule the job. He told me could do it the end of April. In April, he said the end of May, then June. July didn't work for either of us because of vacations. We finally came up with a date in August. The day before he was suppose to come do the job, he called and said he was leaving for a camping trip and was sending his best worker to do the job. I reluctantly agreed because I needed it done. His worker, ****, showed up with his wife (helper). He tore up the tile and laid the hardwood and replaced the 1/4 round molding. He said that he or ***** would be back to caulk the trim and give me a receipt for the CASH payment. After **** left I noticed one of the thresholds was split, there were some staples showing, and some nails that were sticking up that could cut something if walked on, some flooring was also scratched and needed touched up. I texted several times and sent him pictures of the issues and asked for him to come back and finish/fix the issues. He never answered, so I began to call and leave voice messages and he would never answer or return my calls. My last attempt was 8/26/23 with a text, phone call and I left a voice message. No response to any of them, All I want is the job completed/fixed. It is not a timely fix, maybe 1-2 hours at the most. I have never had an issue in the past with him. I don't know why he is not returning my texts or calls. I paid in full with CASH and have no recourse to withhold the balance. I even told him I was contacting the BBB and have heard nothing back from him. I am very disappointed in how this job has gone. Obviously he doesn't care about his reputation or he would have responded.
