I used Allied Van Moving to move me from New Jersey to Florida. They weren't the cheapest but thought they were the most honest. I took additional insurance to cover the full value of damaged or missing items. I realized about a week the following. A brand new Chainsaw wasn't delivered. A 2500.00 TV stand was damaged, a box filled with dress shirts and expensive ties was missing. I put in a claim with Allied Van Lines and they are refusing to compensate for the damage and missing items. They have come up with excuses rather than honoring the insurance I purchased for about $1,000.00. The claim was for $4500.00 and so far they are refusing to pay anything.

We received the letter today however, we are not the Allied Agent responsible for this move. ********* Van and Storage in New Jersey  was the responsible agent.  If the complaint is against Allied directly then the letter should have been mailed to Allied directly.  Allied Van Lines appears to be affiliated with the BBB per the ****** search below.

Otherwise the complaint should be sent to the actual agent responsible for the move.

On November 28th, 2022, I scheduled an in-home estimate with Allied Van Lines, which assigned a local agent near me called The ***** **** ltd (Agent for Allied Van Lines **** ********** ** Schenectady NY ***** USA ************). On November 1st, 2022, ****** published a review "Best Long-Distance Moving Companies of 2022" link: ******************************************************************************* In the article, Allied Van Lines listed as providing Senior discount. When I called about senior discounts, the agent (The Ideal move) denied such a discount. When I called Allied Van Lines, I was transferred around (to customer service), which again referred me to The ***** ****. Allied Van Lines should either honor the senior discount or correct the news (which is "false advertising", if there is no discount). Thank you for your help
