On 9/25/23 Bovard Heating and Cooling performed annual maintenance on my oil furnace. I’ve always had a 2 year service agreement and maintained both my furnace and heat pump. My furnace is approximately 5 years old. My heat pump is used until weather is below 40 degrees, then it pulls oil. On 10/9/23, I had no heat. Determined furnace had air in the lines. I have paid out hundreds of dollars yearly over the last couple years after each service to correct issues and I feel this is not my responsibility. I believe the line was not properly bled, causing it to suck air. Tech also mentioned parts were missing (a piece of foam, a nut). Seems to me they are careless and intentionally causing issues due to frequency of call backs required. Talked to several people who worked on furnaces and they agree this was not my bill to pay and they should have stood by their work. Bovard contests I received a discount (because I had a service agreement). They also contend it was a lengthy process. How long it takes a tech to figure it out is not my problem. I’m tired of handing money out to a company who charges time and time again but never seems to get the job right. I never complain about paying my bills, but this was the icing on the cake. The tech was rude, slamming doors, and bitching the entire time. Then hands me the final cost and wants to stand and chat. You don’t come into my house and act like that then hand me a $500 bill

We attempted to arrive at an agreeable settlement with the customer, but they were unwilling to agree to anything less than a full refund.  All of the customer's money has been refunded.
