In July 2023, my fiancé and I went under contract with Wanda D**** (owner of Ruby Red Weddings) for her videography services for our wedding and paid in full of $800 via the payment processor, Square. After a few months went by, we decided to reach back out to Ruby Red Weddings in March 2024 since our wedding was only a few weeks away to finalize timeline and reconnect. Our emails to Ruby Red Weddings went unanswered, the phone number listed (814-327-7238) was disconnected and the company domain (***********************) was no longer in service. We tried to find any kind of contact information online and found a decent number of reviews on Google and Yelp regarding Wanda D**** and her affiliated businesses and how she has taken payment from other clients and then not showing up the day of their wedding to provide her services.

We found her personal social media account, sent her a message there to provide a valid means of contact so we could discuss our contract. We sent a few emails back and forth and ultimately, we requested multiple times to get our money back since our initial contract with Ruby Red Weddings was void (as the company does not exist). Wanda sent over a contract from her new business, Photos by Wanda, where she forged our signatures. We let her know that we are not comfortable with her forging our signatures since the contract is new, additional clauses were added without our knowledge, and we wanted to terminate our relationship with her. There is a clause written in the contract stating that we can terminate our contract and get our money back before 30 days of the event. We reached out nearly 60 days in advance so we have every right to terminate. Wanda is not letting us exercise that clause and has stated that she does not have access to our funds and will not provide a refund.

All we want is to get our money back and to resolve this issue. We already sought legal advice from a lawyer and our next steps is to file a Small Claims Court.

I didn't forge your signatures as you booked online and it was all electronic and underneath your signatures says BOOKED ONLINE.  I explained to you already how to get your refund in which you refused to do so.  I told you through email I do not have access to process refunds so please reach out to your credit card company to dispute the payment.  I have not done anything wrong, I've explained the steps to take so please do them.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have attached the original Ruby Red Contract and the forged Photos by Wanda contract, which I did not agree to nor did I sign. There are differences between the two contracts (snippets provided) which show that the contract was revised and modified without our consent. We have filed a dispute with our bank to attempt to recover the funds (PNC Case ID: *************) after the vendor claims that she does not have the ability to process a refund.

We did not consent to any contract with the business entity Photos by Wanda and we have explained to her in writing that falsifying our e-signature voids the contract. Ruby Red Weddings is no longer in existence, therefore, our previous contract with Ruby Red Weddings is voided. The contract with the entity of Photos by Wanda was never agreed upon and our e-signature was forged, as such, we require immediate return of our funds.

Both contracts are the same, you booked online and both contracts have the same signature.  Nothing was FORGED!  Everything within the contract is the same.

Ive also told you how to get your money back.

Any modification to a contract (change in business name or otherwise) must be re-signed or initialed by both parties in order to be valid. You transferred a digital signature to a different contract without my consent- this is forgery.

The more significant matter is the refund. We have every right to terminate our contract and get our full refund back but you are withholding the payment. Please release the full refund balance back to the original form of payment. As previously mentioned, we filed a dispute with our credit card provider but have not yet received the refund.

If we do not receive the full refund, we will continue to seek legal action and file petition in small claims court.

This will be the last message I sent to you. I've already explained to you I do not have access to the account to reimburse your funds. If I could send a refund to you I would have done so. All you have to do like I've said many times now contact your credit card company and dispute the payment you will get your funds back. I cannot access the account I've even given you proof of this. You're the one that can seem to not understand what I'm saying to you so if you can't go and dispute your refunds and your payments from the credit card company that you used then I don't know what to further tell you and I will say the same thing to you in court so go right ahead lady

I hired Wanda Diehl Photography, who later renamed her business Ruby Red Weddings (I received that notice on 11/9/2022) for my wedding on 10/7/2023 on July 30, 2022. I paid her a deposit of $200.00 on July 30, 2022 and paid the remaining balance of $200.00 on 11/9/2022.
I paid her in full for the service and the day of my wedding she did not show. I did not get any notice of her closing her service nor that would not be available the day of my wedding. I, my husband, and several other family members all tried contacting her and we got no response. Calls said the person was not accepting calls, & no response to texts or emails. I emailed after our wedding several times about a refund since she did not provide the service and got no answer. It now appears on google that the business may be closed.
