I had my oil changed at this facility about ***** miles ago. My vehicle shut down while driving on January 29th. I spoke with A1 the next day about the situation. They said they were too busy to do anything about it and have it towed to the dealership that I bought it from. The dealership informed me that there was no drain plug in the oil pan when it was dropped off from the towing service. Therefore it would not be covered by warranty and the cost would be about $7,500. And that I should contact the company that changed my oil. I have made several calls to this business (A1) to seek information about the assumed negligence or improper handling of ensuring the drain plug secured properly after changing my oil. Even after communicating and calling several times they said that they would look into it and have **** **** me back. That did not ever happen. Today is now Wednesday February 5th and it was the first that they have contacted me. Not to mention that this was a return call from my previous call today seeking what they were going to do about the situation. During this call *** informed me that they would not do anything in regards to my engine blowing up. At this point I do not have a vehicle or transportation to travel to work or any of the other things that I would need to do in a typical day. My concerns come with who is held liable for this? Obviously this is at zero fault of mine or neglect on my behalf and I am currently without a vehicle, no source of transportation and will need to spend about $7,500 to have it repaired. The other option is for me to buy a new car. I have also called ******************* in regards to this matter and the reason why it would not be covered is due to external reasons. For example no drain plug and a drain plug just doesnt fall out on its own. I would appreciate your help in this matter and having this problem rectified. Please let me know of any steps that I will need to do following this awareness complaint.
