    On May 25, 2022, we brought our ***** pickup to GT Automotive Center (161 **********., Ambler, PA *****) to be inspected (see documentation showing GT's intake date). The inspection was due to expire at the end of June. (document 1 intake shows GTs acknowledgment of 6/22 inspection due). Mr. T***** determined that it needed major brake work, a new front stabilizer bar and etc. We approved the work and the cost estimate. We were told that they could start it the following week. When we checked in the following week, we were told that there had been a delay and a promise was made for the following week. This string of failed commitments continued until inspection expired (see document showing 7/7 date and their admission that they could not complete the work in a timely manner). They never even began the work. Because of these delays, the inspection expired and the truck could no longer legally be driven. The cost to tow it to another garage was $180.00. (*** will not tow an uninspected vehicle). Before they would allow the truck to be moved, they demanded $137.75 for the estimate of what work needed to be done but was never even begun. In the end, we spent $317.75 dollars and struggled through weeks of not having a vehicle because GT Automotive would not admit that they unable to do the job. If they had admitted this the first, second or third week, we could have legally driven the truck to a more competent, honest garage rather than having to pay to have it towed. As a post note, a different inspection station found several of the repairs required by GT Automotive were NOT necessary and the truck passed inspection with significantly fewer repairs than GT Automotive stated. We can provide documentation if requested. We are requesting a return of the $1307.75 paid to GT Automotive AND reimbursement of the $180 towing charge that resulted from their repeated delays which led to the expired inspection sticker.
