On Oct 9th 2023, I received an email from an associate of my accountant JD accountants and Advisors. They informed me that my 2022 personal tax return had been rejected because someone else had claimed my son on the tax return. I was sure that there must be another explanation. I decided to do my due diligence and recheck the tax return myself. My search found that they had entered his social security number incorrectly on the tax return and had not bothered to take further action except to inform me that it was rejected. I contacted them and gave them the correct number and it miraculously worked and was approved. On March 4th, 2024, I notified JD Accounting that my 2021 and 2022 personal tax returns were not completed correctly. They neglected to include my social security income on line 5a on both returns. As a result, I paid significantly more taxes for both years, along with penalties and interest. To add insult to injury, they charged me $325 per return to complete each correctly.5/31/24, I contacted JD accounting regarding discrepancy notices I had been receiving from the ****************************** regarding how they reported my Wages to Social Security. They did my 2022 business returns and should have had the necessary information to correct the oversight. After repeated emails and attempts to resolve the issues, I have had no action from JD Accounting regarding this issue, even after promises to complete the process per emails, from ******** addition, I paid them an initial payment of $750 in April 2024 as we were still considering working together on my 2024 taxes. Unfortunately, I did not feel confident that they were the right firm to work with me due to several issues, as related above. Yet, they have not returned my initial deposit of $750 and have never started any services on my behalf for the 2024 tax season.

I have not heard from ******** accountants. However, I would like the attachments included in the complaint removed because they contain sensitive financial information that should not be available to the general public.

Hello:I was a client referred to ***** by his cousin. We had a meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 @ 9:00am at the *********** in Philadelphia. As a potential client, ***** assessed my tax needs and spoke to me about his services and what was a good tax plan for my business. I received a follow up email that recapped our session and the services. I was told via email and verbally that a tax extension was made. ***** took a mortgage document that was needed to make copies for my tax file. He and I spoke several times for him to return by mail my original copy of mortgage docs. He lied and did not drop it off to me nor did he mail it at the time we agreed. I had to reach out to his cousin for her to contact him and FINALLY I received my documents. Lastly, when I called the *** the end of 2022 with concerns about my tax bill (once I filed my return) I had a $900 penalty for filling late. He never filed the extension. Which he again, lied about! I reached out to ask for paperwork showing confirmation of the extension (as the *** would honor if he had it), no response! He became unresponsive many times throughout our working relationship. I really appreciate clear effective communication. I can work with anyone who communicates.I cannot afford to pay $900. As I am a new mom who doesn't work at the moment. I was some sort of compensation or accountability from ***** of JD Tax & Accounting Advisors. I would describe him as completely unprofessional, inconsiderate and negligent! I was not advised by him properly and mishandled as a client. I trusted ***** because he was recommended by a client/friend of mine. I was several months pregnant and in need of services. This experienced has caused me great anxiety due to money I surprisingly now owe & had no intentions on paying. Hence, why I wanted the extension in the first place.
