Transactions Dates: 12/2/24 and 12/5/24 Amount paid: $9800 Purpose: Liposuction Issue: After fully paying Body Arts, I was told that I needed to pay (out of pocket) for a doctor to approve the surgery, various lab tests, and show proof of 24 hr caregiver services separate from their fee. If none of these were done, I couldnt have the surgery. I was alarmed, because why would they take someones money before knowing whether they are medically cleared. After months of trying, I found a doctor that gave the ok. The doctor expressed having reservations about me getting the surgery because my EKG showed some irregularities. On top of that, I was still unable to find affordable 24 caregiver services, and close to a $1000 in other required labs tests. So, on April 24th, I asked ********* for a full refund because I am not able to afford 24 hr caregiver services and expensive labs. I was told that that was not reason enough for them to issue me a refund. On 4/28, I went back to the doctors office, and they subsequently faxed another letter to Body Arts stating that I was not medically cleared to have any procedure. I gave Body Arts a heads up after the letter was faxed. Not only did Body Arts deny receiving the faxed letter, but they continued to refuse to provide me with a refund. Instead, they instructed two of their employees to call me multiple times a day, even at late hours, asking me to call them back. Because I do not trust anyone with that facility, coupled with feeling they were trying to intimidate me, I asked if all communication can be done by text or email, but they refused. Instead, they continued to call me, knowing that I would not pick up the phone. They would only text me asking me to call them. When I texted back asking if they would like me to call back to discuss my refund, they refused to respond.
