Entered into agreement with ******* Clarke on 3/1/23 to be the general contractor for the ******************* project. He is filed with PA state using license #******* and the registered agent is ******* Services LL. We paid ******* via check #*** in the amount of $3000 and also ****** $2200, $1529, $1300, $1000 to pay the architect and structural engineer to submit the building plans. I contacted him several times to no avail. I followed up with all interested parties to only find out that he partially paid the architect and still owed him over $5K to finish the job so that we an submit by 8/31/23. I was advised that ******* had the signed off and completed plans finished in July 2023. I advised ******* that if he does not pay the architect as agreed that the matter will be escalated. I received a text from ******* advising that he will get the job done and he is not taking our money and running away on 8/24/23, but each time that I have called him since this time, he advises that he is tied up and not available to speak. I put my bank on notice of the incident and hoping that the BBB can help by requesting that the job be completed as agreed and pay the architect so that the plans can be submitted. My grandmother loss her house in the fire and the family is trying to restore her home and if he had the plans completed by July 2023, why is he not paying people so that they can submit and we can move forward with the project?
