This company has been a huge disappointment for us. We had them do a full bathroom renovation done and they screwed up so many things and have no willingness to refund us money that they should to make it right. They didn't put a mortar bed under our shower pan so now it flexes and creaks loudly. They did a horrendous job on the spackle work. There are lines, uneven marks, swirls around the light switch, s**** heads visible that weren't covered. The spackle is uneven and wasn't sanded properly. Their employee screwed up the shower drain connection which led to a leak in our living room ceiling. They fixed it and patched the ceiling but now we have to repaint the whole ceiling to cover the patch. They cut a hole in our bedroom wall to adjust the shower valve without talking to me about it beforehand. They didn't remove enough of the old uneven subfloor in the bathroom area even after I pointed it out to their employee and now the new laminate floor flexes up and down when it should be flat and level on a solid base. They didn't install the door correctly and when we just had some humid weather, it was sticking so much the top part of the veneer on the door started to come apart. They didn't caulk around the top of the shower surround where it meets the walls. We were without a toilet for 11 straight days and only have one bathroom. The job went almost $10K over budget. They drew out the project far too long and cost us far more labor than it should have. We had no tile work done and yet this job took almost 5 weeks with too many mistakes along the way! ***** never came back to do a final walkthrough after he told us he would. We respectfully requested money back after fulfilling our financial obligation and ***** has refused to include my wife on any communications even though we are married, own our house together, took out a loan together for this reno and we both signed the contract that we submitted to T Mac Builders. Buyer beware!

We had hired T-Mac builders to do a demo and full renovation on the inside of a house that meant the world to me. It was my parents house who recently passed. ***** is a great talker.. h*** tell you he can do everything. You dont need anyone else because his team can do it allbut once we got close to budget and after a few questionable things we had let him go. We were told we were ready for drywall at this point. We decided to bring in a new contractor, new plumber, and new electrician to give us a quote to finish and all of them said the work tmac did had to be redone! It would not pass inspection.. thankfully our plumber took out all the plumbing they had installed to replace it bc it was riddled with holes since the screws they used to put down the subfloor were too long and they missed half the studs. Nothing is level and instead of cutting the wood that they used to frame out a room to the proper length they used shims (which yes I know shims help, but not when you use a good solid 1/2 to 3/4 inch of shims packed out in between a framed wall and ceiling.) The subfloor was so uneven we were told we couldnt use the snap together vinyl flooring we wanted because it would buckle unless we fixed the sub floor. We paid for a bay window and French doors that we didnt get. Its been a disaster and disappointment. I thought I did my research on finding a good contractor in the area. After going through all of this I have been researching and found a few people who have complained, and Tylers responses always seem to point the finger back on the customer but I have documented this project every step of the way. For the money we shelled out to this company I shouldnt have to be paying to have your work fixed!!!

*WARNING TO HOMEBUILDERS*My husband and I had the misfortune of trusting ***** ******************** of T. MAC BUILDERS for our home building project. ***** was an absolute NIGHTMARE to try to work with, dragging out our plans for over TWO YEARS. The entire process was a complete waste of time and money from start to finish. First, we were told we had to pay for blueprints to be drawn up before any steps could be taken. We gave ***** a large sum of money to create what we were told would be blueprints. We were told that these blueprints could be taken to any contractor to be used if we so wished. All we ever received from ***** was just a schematic of the house we had hoped to build, never actual blueprints. Second, where our property is located, we were required to have a special driveway permit. We needed this permit before any construction could begin. ***** was supposed to fill out the paperwork and file with our township. We, again, paid a large sum of money to ***** for this permit. For SIX MONTHS we heard nothing from the township. After many calls and trying to track down the status of our application, we found out ***** never filed the paperwork. We then gathered all of our documents and submitted the application ourselves, where we discovered the application was only $25 dollars to file, not the amount that we paid *****. It was a scam.Throughout this 2+ year ordeal, ***** dodged our phone calls and text messages. He was impossible to get a hold of and when we finally did get a response, he gave so many excuses as to why he could not meet with us. He refused to ever sit down with us to discuss progress. We never signed a contract, which I am now thankful for. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of TYLER ******************** of T. MAC BUILDERS. His incompetence, poor communication, and dishonest practices make him unfit for business. He has a reputation for doing this to others. I hope this review can save the next person from getting scammed like we were.

I have no knowledge of Demo/Renovation. I took Mr. M*********s advice for this project that he said would last two weeks, seven weeks later the bathroom project is incomplete. He took advantage of me and violated the contract by not giving me a functioning bathroom. I've never seen any plans for the bathroom renovation, he started demolition on the bathroom without proper planning.
The first problem was the shower insert we picked out wouldn't fit. The depth was 36" for the insert, but only then did he measure the space and realized he had 30" available. At this point I met with Mr. M********, and I suggested to push the back wall of the shower into the spare bedroom and make the bathroom bigger. He told me that would be too much work and would take too long. He then suggested to tile the shower but informed me he would not be able to stay under budget. At this point he never gave me an updated estimate on what the cost would be for the shower to be tiled but Mr. M******** said it usually cost around $2 a square foot. Trusting his opinion, I agreed to have the shower tiled. After six weeks into the bathroom project, he tried to install the 19" vanity he told me to purchase, only to find out there's only 29" from the shower wall to the wall where the vanity would be mounted which would only leave 10" of space to walk through to get to the toilet. He then suggested pushing the wall into the dining room 18" out so the vanity would fit and making more room in the bathroom. At this point of the project, he realized he did not plan properly with the measurements and told me he would no longer be charging me Labor, but I would have to pay for the drywall and materials to finish the project.
At this point I filed a consumer complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to try and resolve the problem. They advised me that he never responded to the complaint. I'm in small claims court now to try and get this resolved.

Scott B**** comes from a long line of con artists, he and his current girlfriend ******* ****** ******** Spent their money partying and could not pay invoices on time, anyone reading this knows no one would say tile is two dollars a square foot, especially when he was the person picking out the tile in the store with me . Scott B**** ran out of money trying to appease his new girlfriend and take her on vacations while we were working at the house and then he realizes he ran through all of his money so instead of paying his bill and having a functioning bathroom Scott decided he was going to try to evade payment by taking us to court, Anyone who would like a complete breakdown of how this played out feel free to reach out to us directly, we can send you all of the “I’m too busy drinking” messages, The request for payments, contract copies etc.

The money is not and was not the issue. I've had multiple contractors at my house since you walked off tge job and they can't believe the work you did. It was a two week project that turned into a seven week nightmare for a bathroom that is 5"x7". It's my only bathroom in my house and you just drug it out to make more money. I'm guessing I paid for your on the job training. No planning whatsoever, otherwise you would have known from the get go that the vanity wouldn't fit. To constantly bring my girlfriend into the matter(just like you did on court, which you lost!) Goes to show you what kind of trash I was dealing with.
Do yourself a favor and find a reliable contractor. I jumped at the first one available and I regret it!!
