Do not purchase any thing from them that requires a title for transfer. I purchased an item with two titles included. I was not informed till after I signed their release paperwork that they didn't have titles on site to what I purchased. Their rep then proceeded to provide me with the previous owners contact info ( not ok to give personal contact info out) to make my own arrangements. When a stranger didn't answer I was provided the original auctioneers number who also didn't answer. All of these interactions don't make sense. I should have been provided a valid titles on the spot. I called the auctioneer again and got excuses about miss communications after I got in contact with the title holder. I hope to get titles tomorrow from the title holder of my purchase, but I am not holding my breath.Do not sign anything without a title present from this company! I have had smooth translations in the past with them, but none included state documents. I no longer have any faith in their transactions!

Rip Off. If you don't have High End items like guns, jewelry, antiques or collectibles your better off donating contents of your house to the VA or a local thrift store. It's an Organized group of the same buyers who won't bid too high against their fellow auction buyers. The auctionhouse staff personally knew about 80% of resellers picking up items. Super nice 3pc living room set went for $12.10, boxes of higher end costume jewelry went for less than $3 a box. Then, they left a Huge Mess because they let their buyers (auction buddies) to pick thru their LOTS and leave behind what they did want when the buyers were supposed to take entire the entire LOT they purchased. Wish I would have donated everything to charity instead of turning over to this very well organized network of pickers/resellers. Definitely would NOT recommend. Just an fyi... The set up/advertising fees range from $700-$1,000 + a there is a LARGE seller fee (%) for buyers to pay with credit cards, paying each worker $22 each to sort and take REALLY CRAPPY photographs of items on their cell phones. Total profit from my auction was $71 and change while the auctionhouse made SEVERAL THOUSAND $$.Again, make it easy on yourself and Donate your items unless you have lots of high end stuff, but even then you may not make much because their NETWORK of bidders will not bid too high against each other.

We are sorry for your unpleasant experience. You are correct in saying that if you don't have many higher ticket items it does make it harder to make a profitable auction. We try to let our sellers know that these smaller auctions are not highly profitable, but if a service is needed to get things sold and gone we can accommodate that. I did speak to the sales agent, she mentioned that you were more concerned about getting items sold and out because you were selling the real estate. In the process of trying to help sellers we take auctions strictly for a clean out rather than to make money. Our understanding was that you didn't want to owe money at the end of the auction. I sincerely apologize for your unpleasant experience and hope this clears up a few of your concerns. I will also bring this up at our next comapny meeting. Thanks for your feedback.

I RENTED a storage unit from HOSTETTER rentals in midland for 1 year. It was a HORRIBLE experience. I had to THROW ALL of my STORAGE away. It was infested with MICE, BUGS and EGGS. When I told the owner SHERMAN HOSTETTER, his RESPONSE was don't I HAVE insurance. So, when I told him I THREW EVERYTHING away and the unit is empty, they still sent me a bill.. ALSO, when the previous client left without paying, they were CHARGING me his RENTAL FEE, because I was paid up and still getting bills, this is what they told me the bills were for. I feel they should have REFUNDED my money. Please DO NOT RENT from HOSTETTLER

I am sorry for your unpleasant experience. We definitely don't want items getting damaged in storage. We are unable to insure the items people keep in the storage units. I will look into the rental fees that were paid. We only want to charge your for the months you used the unit per your storage contract. Thanks you for the feedback!
