    Called Aerial Communication with a request to fix an issue on our computer by remote which took the skilled tech in reality no longer than 10 minutes, OK, let's be overly generous and say 20mins absolute max. Charged 1 hour labor $80.00 Asked front desk if they had made a mistake in billing. No mistake was the reply. Minimum $80 to answer a tech question in a phone call/remote for in house labor. Never used to be like this, Aerial have looked after my computers for about 10 years+. and I contact them on average once a year. It was always a customer friendly establishment but I'm sure the client base will understand the evidently new pricing policy, myself being the exception no doubt.

    *****, Thanks for your comment. We have always charged a base rate for anytime a remote session is completed. If it was a question only over the phone, then we do not charge. This is an industry standard. As you pointed out you're paying for a "skilled tech" if it would have taken 59 mins to fix the same issue but with a tech not as skilled would it have changed your view on the bill, or would you have been more frustrated with the time it took? As I'm sure you're well aware with the costs of everything what flexibility we may have had in the past no longer exists.
