I Ordered a pair of boots through this company on 11/06/2022 for $486.11 .. I wore them around the house and walked outside in them a few times. They was not fitting me good and was Hurting my leg. I decided I didn’t want to pay that much money for a pair of boots that didn’t fit good. I returned them back to Cove Creek Outfitters . They refunded me $86 and charged me a $400 restocking fee because there was some specks of dirt on the bottom of the boots. I told them to just send them back to me and I would just keep them. They told me they couldn’t do that , they threw them into a bin and deemed them “used and un usable” . Not a thing wrong with the boots other than they didn’t fit me. Now I’m out $400 for boots I don’t have and they refuse to either send me the boots or refund my money.

Reply to case ID ********* The buyer purchased a brand-new pair of Kenetrek boots on 11/6/2022.  The buyer returned the boots after quite some time in a USED condition with tags missing and dirty. A restocking charge was applied as per Amazon's policy.  Not received in the same condition sent to buyer. When returns are processed at our warehouse,  wrong/damaged items are taking pictures of and then put in a donation or trash bin. This was explained to the buyer thru us and Amazon. Amazon has already denied the buyers' clams.  Pictures that we have on file are attached. If you require anything further, please let us know.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The pictures of the Kenetrek boots Cove Creek outfitters have sent you is not the boot I returned.  It is not even the boots Cove creek Outfitters sent me pictures of denying my refund.. I had 30 days to return the boots .I was within my 30 days. Why did they not show the top of the boots? They run a scam and are thieves and liars. Why would I even attempt to return a boot if I knew I was going to get charged full price for a restocking fee.? I either. Want my boots or my money that’s not asking too much. Here is the pic Cove Creek Outfitters sent me.  Compare it to the picture they sent you. It’s absurd . All I want is the boots or the money either or….
Does that look anything like the pic they’ve sent you?

Cove Creek Outfitters went outside and drugs random pair of boots through the mud and sent you a pic of it. I’m not asking for anything other than what’s owed to me.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

My view on the matter is .I purchased a pair of boots . They did not work for me I returned them within the allowed time frame. There was nothing wrong with the boots other than they did not fit correctly. The pictures of the boots this company is providing you with is inaccurate and absolutely 100% not the boots I returned to them. I would never return a pair of boots looking like that. I wouldn’t have returned them at all had I known there was a restocking fee of $400 which is almost full price. The company has refused to send the boots back to me.  So they have kept the money , kept the boots and will likely turn around and resale the boots making even more profit. This company plays their customers and is a complete joke. I’m requesting either the boots I’ve paid for or a full refund..  that’s not unreasonable that’s called being a thief.
