    Price Gauging: Very disappointed with pricing for 45-1 hour worth of labor at most to complete a repair on air conditioner and can’t help but think that this company price is gauging since repair made in high temps following 3 day heat wave. $468 for labor, capacitor part ($19 on Amazon) was covered with warranty since Dowd installed the HVAC 4 years ago. The service man was professional, patient and kind as he talked to someone in the office. I have no gripes with him. The best they could do was discount 10% and remove the additional $99 for coming out (which is standard to remove if agreeing to work.) with discount I still paid $420 which is outrageous for less than an hour’s work. Again, parts were covered under warranty. I didn’t decline the work because was scared if I used another repair company warranty would be voided. I talked to someone in the office who shared my concern with pricing employee and he would not reduce labor price from $420 any further. I would not recommend Dowd ever. Better reputable service companies out there.

    Thanks for using us for service. To insure all customers understand pricing we provide price up front before we preform work. We did give the price before repair was made. As far as warranty goes any company can honor a manufacture warranty. Glade we were able to fix you broken ac on demand within hours of calling us during a heat wave . Thank you for your business.
