    First I called a company called American way moving: dont call them theyre brokers. And they sent my move to a company called United Express **************. Everything up until the moving day seemed legit. I thought I was working with American way, I was, the brokers, they were friendly and informative. I was given a 2 day window and no one contacted me until afternoon of day 2. I had called several times and no one was returning my calls. That should have been my cue to cancel the move. But loving accross country was a big deal and cost a lot of money. The moving company finally arrived and it was united express **************. Thats when I realized I had been dealing with a broker the entire time. So the movers are there and the guy in charge goes through to take inventory and quotes me nearly $800 more then what was quoted originally, which was weird because its based off of square footage and I aimed high as far as inventory goes. I left behind half the furniture. So for the quote to be hire didnt make any sense. That and it wasnt even on the truck to know how much it actually was. After some back and forth I left another 15 totes behind to just not have to pay more money. To find out my stuff would be going to PA first. Time frame 2-3 wks. I gave an extra week before calling and then I was unable to get anyone on the phone. I attempted to file a complaint then but it was the wrong company. I called the claims number in the paperwork (there was 7 pages so it seemed legit) got someone on the phone and they said that they were waiting for the west coast truck maybe next week. Called the following week and they said my things were on a truck in ****. But now it has been 2 wks after that. No calls. No answers. No truck. I loved 12/27/2024 and it is 02/18/2025 from ** to ******. This is not ok. And this company needs to either be shut down or communicate to their customers. You are moving peoples lives. Have some respect for that.

    This company showed up for our long distance move on 12/04/2024, scheduled through ************************. They packed our items before we were able to designate what would be moving with them vs. with us and they packed up most of the items I had set aside for travel. Meaning, we now have no general care items for our 8 month old baby and 3 year old. We were told our items would arrive at our new location on 12/09/24-12/10/24, but we are still waiting for our truck to show up. When we try to contact the company, the line says it is disconnected and we are unable to reach anyone for any information on where our items are. At this rate, we consider our items missing and gone because we are unable to reach anyone for any information. They charged us over $2k more than what was originally agreed upon for our move and we still have no idea where our items are. It is the start of winter, right before Christmas and we have none of our belongings. We have had to spend over $1500 to pick up basic items to survive in our new house until our items eventually arrive, if they ever do. We are so upset and feel scammed and stranded.
