    I brought my 2020 ***** in for a PA inspection, prior inspection was NJ. After about 1 1/2 hours I was told it need a control arm for my car which is a 2020 and <50,000 miles. I said that I wanted to call the dealership I bought it from to check the warranty. I called the dealership and was told I would receive a call back. I called C&J and told to hold off till I figured out the warranty situation. After an estimated 30-45 minutes I received a call from the NJ Dealership which I purchased from and was told it was covered under *****'s factory warranty. So I called a local ***** dealership to confirm this information and was told Yes it was covered and the service manager made it a point that he found it odd that it would fail with such low miles. So I called back to C & J and was told it was already taken apart and when asked that they "don't reinstall parts" and that *** the Manager "drove 1.5 hrs to get these parts" So I felt stuck, I couldn't retrieve my vehicle in the condition it was in and so I reluctantly gave a go ahead for the repairs I could get for free. Charged $1,041.18 Upon paying for the service I told *** that I didn't like how it was all handled and for someone with such experience should know a vehicle was covered under such low miles. To ease my concern *** repeatedly informed me to call ***** to get my refund. I called ***** and that has never been their warranty process. So I left a message on C&J voicemail with my displeasure of his lies and deception. It had a tone to it but words were used that I would use in my Grandmothers presence. The next morning 5/5/23, I received a call from *** of C&J that the police would be there and "treats were made to him" I arrived no police but was greeted by a multitude of C&J employees and offered $500 off. I didn't agree and I was told only $648.96 was the max. I felt pressured by C&J and their deceptive business practices and a repair which covered the warranty and I ended up paying for it.

    We are very sorry to be reading this review . C&J Automotive is a 38 year old family run automotive business with many many satisfied  customers. As we read the statement of ************************* we believe there's not one thing true about it except for the part where he agreed to have the service performed on his 2020 *****. Every customer at C&J gets a full digital report including pictures and videos of their car. After the tech performed PA state inspection on the ***** the report was sent to the customer. See attached report.  At 8:35 AM ****************** was called after the report was sent , the *** went over the report with him, explaining the pictures etc. ****************** approved work recommended and had no issue with the *** during the call which are recorded. The approval was given to the tech and the work began. The parts manager did drive to ******************** to retrieve the new control arms for the customer which did take about and hour and a half during morning traffic. When the parts manager returned with control arms the tech had old ones out and ready for new this was at the time of 10:15 . ******************** called at 12:22 to tell the *** that he definitely need a receipt to get reimbursed from the dealer where he purchased the vehicle. Nothing was mentioned during that call to stop any work that was being performed. We explained to him that he would be getting a full receipt. At 12:52 ****************** called and asked that the work be stopped and at this point the work was almost completed other than writing the state inspection stickers. At that time ****************** seemed fine with no issues. When ****************** picked the vehicle up he was rude, disrespectful and told us we were taking advantage of him and he believe the pictures we sent him were from another car which is absolutely untrue. He treated  the staff poorly and be paid and left. Over night that night ******************** left a threating message on the voice mail of C&J stating he was going to come up and handle his business first thing in the morning if we didn't refund his money. After receiving this threating message our service manager reached out first thing in the morning to try and calm the situation. At that point ******************* threaten the service manger with harm if he didn't refund his money to him. At that point the service manager told him he would call the police which he did. ******************** said in his letter to the BBB that the police never showed up, what ******************** didn't know is the police were here when he came here because of how unreasonable and threating he was being, and everything is recorded. He said in his letter to the BBB he talks to his grandmother this was which we are sorry to here. After how unreasonable and threating he was to our staff the owner mad the decision out of the safety for his staff to refund ****** to the customer to get him out of our building before he hurt someone. In the 38 years of business this would be the first and only experience with a customer as unreasonable as ********************. We pride ourselves on nothing but the best service with full transparency . That's why we send out digital reports. We believe ******************** should take his energy out on the dealer he purchased the vehicle from. He also agreed not to write this so you can see how unreasonable he is . We are sorry this came to this. We appreciate the business and sorry ***************** was not completely satisfied, but ****************** made the choice to ok the work being completed.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Is C and J accusing me of robbery in front of the police? 

    C and J statement says police were on site and under duress C and J gave me money.... I believe that is robbery. I also agreed to not leaving a ****** Review, I was very specific about that and I've retained that promise.

    On 3/7/23 I went into the Business C & J Automotive in Hammonton NJ to have an oil change done. Upon leaving the Manager states they noticed that my light was out and the tech pulled my car back in to replace it! I asked how long will this take and he said,”Oh he is finished now!” I have a 2018 ****** it’s no way in the world this was done in that short time span! My work ID was missing from the vehicle!(I put it inside the glove compartment before I got out of the vehicle ) I have 2 bulbs in my glove compartment and whoever was in there had to have seen them! This questions if the light was out as how could he have seen this as he was backing the car out?! I think he saw the bulbs in the glove compartment! They definitely went into my glove compartment! I made a police report with the ********* NJ police after attempts were made to get my id back. I asked to meet with The Owner and The Director of Operations called me back saying we can’t have this out there like this what can we do to help you get your id back? I said give me my id back! I asked to speak to the Owner as he said NO ONE at the facility would do something like that as they don’t access the glove compartment! We had multiple back and forth conversations and I asked him if he had cameras which he said he did I asked him to review the camera which he stated he did and get back to me He said he didn’t see anything! I asked again to speak with the Owner and not a middleman to review the tape with him hanging up. I again left a messages with the owner who has yet to call me! On Friday 3/24/23 my car broke down and was towed to my home. I looked at the oil and it is BLACK as if it hadn’t been changed and my filter is missing or something in that spot is missing (pictures supplied) I had to rent a car I again left messages at both locations to return a call! I am asking that my car be repaired and I be supplied a rental vehicle until it is fixed! I PRAY this issue can be resolved. Thanks

    This is what occurred, she said her ID was stolen from her glove box, the oil change we charged her for was not performed and miscellaneous parts were missing after her visit. She told me the car would no longer drive when I reached out there. As a resolution I offered to tow the car to our facility, perform another oil change, replace any plastic parts under the hood she said were missing, and pay for her new ID. All the above we would have paid for.
