The contractor, ***** *******, started my steps/ rail project on Friday, January 31st. His estimate for my job was $3000. I paid him half up front and made my final payment on Sunday, February 2, 2025 to him. I paid him the final payment in good faith since he was referred by a family friend and the bulk of the project was completed. Apparently, he neglected to properly install the cords on my rail and one popped off. I have reached out to him multiple times to try and get this rectified. He is continuously agreeing to come to my home to address my issues but never shows up. I have been going back and forth with him since Sunday, March 2nd by text and I also called him and left a message previously. He has since stopped responding to my text messages. He is continuously making excuses and quite honestly I am fed up. As a woman consumer, I feel that this contractor has taken advantage of me. I just want my project issues addressed and corrected so that I can move on. Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

My porch was getting old and needed to be addressed, so I went on-line searching for a Contractor that did construction, Fair Rate Construction, listed their business, contacted ******* *******. He showed up looked at the job and quoted a price. Wanted $30.00 up front, said his company hasn't set up account as yet. So I wrote him a check #**** in the amount of $30.00, this was on 7/10/2024, kept asking when they would start work, came up with about 12 excuses never started until 8/14, asking for another $1,000.00 Check for supplies. This time he said to make the Check out to Him. Still no seeing supplies. 8/30 wanting another $1000.00 , next week he said, Said be there at 9:00 called with an excuse can't make it. They showed up one day, worked on the Small Porch, left, see ya tomorrow he said, no show. A week or so later showed up and finished the small porch, asked when he would start the Large Porch, he said they are working on a $28,000 house contract. He left, e-mailed just continued e-mailing excuses. So I would like the Company's Owner to return the $2,030.00 since never finished the Contract project. I'm 80 yrs old a widow on a fixed income and feel he took advantage of a sure Scam me out of monies.

Sorry but there was some money was given to him I forgot to add to the total amount he took for supplies (materials) and if it amounted to $300- $500.00 I was lucky but didn't, The Amount is $3,200.00, that ie walked away with and never finished the job, had to hire another Contractor, cost me another $800.00 for New Contractor to finish porch.   Thank you!

Sorry but don't agree!  ************ is out there taking money and not doing the work, stealing from Senior Citizens and no doubt laughing all the way to the Bank.  Something needs to be done to stop this individual and Company from this.
