    I had my new Chiropractor who has a signed consent form to request my records from Valley Pain Specialists who denied access to my records. I called them and the secretary first told me I could not have my records. I asked if I could just come pick them up my records and she said no. I said what? She said they would charge me a fee. She didn't know what it would be but she would have to talk to her manager. I said," I just need what my new doctor is requesting. Which is my MRI." She asked for their number and said she would call. She called them and told them she was not giving my records and that they would have to get them where I got my MRI done. I have a right to my records which they are holding hostage. Please help.

    I am responding to the letter dated on August 24, 2022. In regards to the patients complaint he was asked to pay an out of pocket expense (deductible). At the time of service, which was July 6, 2022, his deductible was showing $350.98 not met. I did receive an email from the patient and spoke with him about this. He understood and was aware that I had to wait until I received his explanation of benefits and payment for this date of service. He is stating that his deductible was met with other healthcare services he had prior to this date. I understood and explained that after I receive payments from his insurance carrier I will follow up with him. He was satisfied with my response.

    After receiving payments and his EOB's the patient was due a refund of $171.00. I spoke with the patient today and a check will be mailed to him. He was satisfied with the result.
