    I have recently received invoices for late filing penalties from both federal and new york state taxes. DLH Financial Services did not file for an extension for my 2023 taxes in which I did confirm with the **** After about a week of waiting for an explanation from DLH Financial Services, ****** told me today 3-17-25 that when he filed for extension back in 2024 for my 2023 taxes that my extension was not accepted. No one told me that the extension was not accepted till today.

    We at DLH FINANCIAL SERVICES LLC sent *** a filing extension before the dateline April 15, 2024, for ******* **** on April 12, 2024. (Please see attached document, Intuit Electronic Postmark Report for Tax Year 2023)
    Please review the *** letter ******* **** has sent us with the penalties and on page 4, *** assesses penalty from 6/15/2024 and we had sent a timely extension to file to *** from April 12, 2024. There for we are not responsible for her penalties.
    This filing extension was processed and approved by the *** on the same day April 12, 2024. (Please see attached document, Intuit Electronic Postmark Report for Tax Year 2023)
    This filing extension is for 6 months, and ******* **** didnt have all her paper work ready to send her taxes until October 10, 2024, when the date line of the extension was October 15, 2024. When we sent her Documents to ***, on October 10, we received a rejection from the *** because A Dependent SSN in the return must not be the same as the Primary or Spouse SSN on another return where 'PrimaryClaimAsDependentInd' or SpouseClaimAsDependentInd'is not checked. (please see attached document, Electronic Filing Client Status History for Tax Year 2023)

    ******* **** was notified of *** file rejection on October 14, 2024, and She asks us if we were able to mail the documents for her?
    We sent her the file electronically on our portal on October 10, 2024, for her to sign and we proceed to send tax paper file by ******************** on October 15, 2024. (please see Attached document, **** taxes mailed10152024114026639_000).
    We help her every step of the way, she had a lot of problems putting her Income tax documents together, because she needed to request the documents from multiple companies and that is the only reason it took more than the normal time to complete her file.
