  We booked the Recreation Center for Oct 22nd 2022 to have a free community kids party for Halloween which would also serve as our daughters Halloween party. We booked the event and dates with Brock H**** Director of the Blairsville Park and Rec. WE spoke with him in great detail multiple times and it was all settled. Our daughter started promoting the family friendly event and then one of the workers, Daniel ? commented and said that the event was not planned or booked. We responded to check with Brock H**** he added it to his calendar. Then the next morning the *********** ******* ******* *********** ******* ******** *********** **** ***t and the Park and Rec posted that the event was not happening and had never been booked. I called Brock and was cussed by worker Debbie W******* Brock called me and said that the board didnt5 approve it, when the Rec is rentable by anyone and no permission from the board is needed. 30 people have shared this and now even though we changed the venue, the community is still calling it a "fake event " and harassing us online and we have reported to police with no concern and finally today the police edited the post to say that we changed venue but it still says there was never an event planned there. We have witnesses and video of the agreement

  No confirmation of booking. Proper steps were not taken by client for the event. Due to party being open to the public client must provide proof of insurance, background checks for all involved in planning and running the event and also waivers to be filled out prior to event. None of which were or have to this date been completed. Board also has the right to refusal any customer that they wish including those who have pending legal charges against the Borough, Police and Parks and Recreation Dept.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

   

  We do have proof of the booking and our conversations with Mr H****. We have no pending charges from Park and Rec or Police and the investigation and search was closed and nothing was seized. The complaint Mr H**** filed with Police was untruthful and false. We have clearances but was never asked for them. We can get insurance but was never asked for it. We have three witnesses that the park and Rec booked the event with us and another witness Frank E******** that the park and Rec Board has retaliated and been completely nasty with us due to our complaints about the park and Rec allowing safety and dangerous conditions for kids to play in. This is the only venue we have in Blairsville or we would have booked somewhere else. I can provide witnesses and clearances upon request.
