    Purchased car from dealer. Dealers son( ****) who runs the garage owned by said dealer lied about timing belt being changed. Bolts missing and an older belt upon changing belt myself. Belt causes engine destruction if not maintained. Car burns 1 quart of oil every 300 miles. Find out model year known for having bad oil control rings. Spoke to ******* ***** three times about issue, said the extended warranty she included was excellent and that her son uses them at the garage all the time. No offer to fix engine. ***** dealer confirms oil ring issue and states catalytic converter would also be ruined from oil. The warranty company is of no help. Says problem is pre-existing, not covered. She says her son was sick and the garage was backed up. Being two blocks from my house, I have witnessed around 50-100 cars pass thru the parking area for repair. This car did not come from an auction. I suspect it was a trade in. Many bolts were missing and the engine was apart at some point. I fixed lots of common wear items on a car of 120,000 miles, but these issues cannot be fix thru the warranty she brags about, even to the attorney generals office. To fix the car would be around $6,500.

    Dear *****;
    I enclosed a copy of the car fax as proof that *** *******s vehicle is not a salvage vehicle as well as a copy of the Service Contract, we provided at no cost to him. Key Warranty is a 41/2 star warranty company and the only service contract we provide because they pay their claims instantly without sending auditors to look for a way out.
    I am sad to hear that my son's heart failure ** ******* is referring to was just an excuse. After ** *******'s purchase my ** year old son and business partner was admitted to the hospital and can not resume his duties in the business again as he is high risk heart attack at this point, but I have not ran away by closing my business or shunned my duties to the public, I have been available for ** ******* to speak with and have responded to his calls.
    My suggestion considering, we are now short a mechanic and ** ******* is not happy with our service is for him to work with *** Warranty on the repairs he is referring to as I cannot guarantee the turnaround time.
    Sincerely Yours
    ******* *****

    [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

    I am rejecting this response because:
    The warranty clearly states that it does not cover existing mechanical problems, no garage contacted will work with warranty company, apparently not even the car lots own facility, or has any success with the cost being covered.
    I wa skied to about a timing belt being replaced, and in fact the engine was missing parts to cause catastrophic failure.
    The use of oil is out of pocket along with a ne catalytic converter.

    Regards,
