      Greater Columbia Medical Transport service billing department is horrible. My son was transported in March of 2023 from ********************* as an emergency transport to ************************************** (literally across the street). Tricare Prime would not pay the bill due to a coding from Greater Columbia. GCMTS refused to call the insurance company or change the code. I have contacted the insurance company and the ambulance numerous times to rectify this without luck. It has been 1 year and 3 months of dealing with this mess. The insurance says my son is not responsible for the bill. Over $1600 now were sent to collection. GCMTS's billing department coded this wrong and refused to change the code even after a Health Benefits Advisor from ****** Army Health called them to help me fix this mess. I was told to contact the Better Business Bureau and the ****** of ******** Protection with the PA Attorney General to file complaints. I rate this company's billing department as a nightmare and HORRIBLE.

      Greater, Columbia ambulance service billing department is below sub par. I was transported from Woodbine surgical center as an emergency transport for cardiology to Geisinger hospital Danville. The EMTs were fantastic, they had to wait with me in the emergency department due to over crowding. However, both my Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare would not pay the bill due to a coding from Greater Columbia. Their billing department coded this as a non-emergency. My doctor felt I needed better care for cardiology, the ambulance company billing would not re-code as an emergency so that my insurances could pay this bill. It was sent to collection I had to pay out of pocket. $1640.80. I have contacted my insurance is the ambulance company and now I will take this further. I rate this company and F in their billing department.
