Beginning in February of 2023, I was accepted and enrolled at Bloomsburg University as an adult transfer student. In the beginning, my $400 deposit was unable to be located, and I was told repeatedly that I was not registered as a student, even though I was. After placing a call, the deposit was miraculously located, and applied to my account. I was told to register for courses, with no idea as to which courses to take. I registered, and was told to take a Principles of Management course. I was unable to purchase the book for this course, as I was told my financial aid was not yet released, and they were not sure when it would be. I began the course, was taught NOTHING. It was an online course, we were told to read the book and take the quizzes. No classes were held, and notes from the instructor were only released once I asked for them. We next come to my transfer credits. When I began, I was told by the head of admissions that all 73 of my credits from a community college and a certificate program were able to be transferred towards a bachelor's degree, leaving 47 credits to be completed. This was revoked, without being given a reason, and changed to 93 credits to be completed, then to 87 credits to be completed, finally ending with me being told I have 42 credits, but was not told if that is what is to be completed, or what they took. I called and was given the runaround, transferred from office to office to office, with each one saying the same thing, "I'm not sure" "have you contacted admissions?" "Have you contacted the department chair?" When there is record of all this being done. I called the Dean of Students and was told they have no record of my Principles of Management course, then was transferred to the business office, who told me they did have a record. No one can tell me what is going on, why, or how many credits I need. I have never filed a BBB complaint, but they leave me no other option as they seem to be very lackadaisical towards me.
