I hired Not to Shabby to paint my kitchen cabinets, during covid she said it would be $800, my husband said no that was to expensive ( things were a lot cheaper than). Well my husband passed away and I saw her post on social media that someone cancelled on her that she would offer 10% off so I messaged her. Well now she wanted $1600!! I told her no that was to much. 3 days later she messaged me and told me she would knock $300 off so I said yes. The whole time she was nickel and diming me trying to get the price up, I let her do it once she charged me $75 to spray paint my hinges which I thought was ridiculous if I knew she was going to just spray paint I would have done it, she told me I couldn't buy new ones that they wouldn't fit. She tried adding another almost $300 for sales tax and that's when I said no that you quoted me full price of $1300 that you should of said plus tax. Well the paint didn't even last 6 months I feel she never cleared coated them. The cabinets aren't used much because I no longer cook since I lost my husband it's only me here. So I called her to tell her and she tried telling me it was the oil in my fingers which is absolutely absurd! She told me to send her pictures so I did and then 2 weeks go buy I didn't hear nothing from her so I sent her a message in the morning asking why I didn't hear from her and nothing again. So I seen her post pictures on social media looking for work so I posted pictures of my cabinets and said she doesn't stand by her work. She lost it started messaging me to take it down that it's liable I said no it's the truth! She told me if I messaged her again she would call the police and then she blocked me. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income and I feel she totally took advantage of me. $1375 is alot of money for me and she was only here 2 days left such a mess didn't clean one thing up forgot her step stool, didn't tape anything up so she got paint on my counter didn't notice until she left. I hope you can help.
