    1) 3/23/23 Platinum provided a quote for requested work totaling $9,600 2) I provide a deposit of $5,000 (2,500 on 3/24 and 2,500 on 3/29) 3) Contractor stated they would use the deposit to order the materials and would begin work in 6-8 weeks. 4) I followed up on 6/20/23 to see when work would begin (after 11 weeks of not hearing anything) 5) I was told work would begin the week of June 26th, but no call no show 6) I followed up on August 8th requesting a start date 7) I was told they would start on 8/21/23 - no call no show 8) I requested materials be delivered to our business and so we could at least confirm so type of expense to justify the $5k deposit contractor has had for 5 months 9) Material (door) was delivered on 9/8/23 but was incorrect for the opening 10) contractor stated door cost was $2,800 and their regular cost to install was $1,100 11) We agreed that a total cost to install this door would be $3,900 and since Platinum was holding 5K deposit, Platinum would return the $1,100 over payment - prior to beginning any work 12) Platinum has not returned the 1,100 over payment - stating that they need to pay their business expenses and keep their business afloat 13) I noted that I did not agree to loan them business capital 14) Platinum has proceeded with installing the door - at the landlord's direction (this is a retail business location) and has refused to return over payments 15) I have emails supporting the dialog and process
