We live in the ************* community on ***************. Our homeowners association has refused to give us, the homeowners, information regarding where the H O A dues have been used over the last 10 years. We have reason to believe that the money the association has collected from the residents has been spent or taken without accountability. There have been many bylaws of the neighborhood that have not been upheld. The state of the common areas is often not cared for. The neighborhood sign was broken and dirty for years. The lawns which we pay for service is often not done - there have been weeks during the spring and summer where the grass has not been cut at all. There have been times of ice where the sidewalks are not treated. The trash service has been spotty for years and has often not picked up or picked up well, ie trash left everywhere. On top of this, The current association as well as the last association (***) often lashes out at homeowners with small children by email, blaming young families for ruining property, making too much noise. We are often bullied for having toys out on our lawns or even on our own porches and decks (private property) and we have been told to clean them up. I want an itemized list of where our association dues have been used over the last ten years. I want a refund or respite of $1000 for laws that have not been upheld. One example of this is that a car was left unused and unmoved on one of our assigned spots (13) for over 2 years. When we tried address this to move it, we were ignored because that homeowner was on the board (named Phil) there have been many unused cars left on our streets for years, in the way and nothing done about them. Another time a board member paid themselves to paint the numbers on the street instead of hiring a professional company. This wasn’t a huge deal however seemed like an unethical choice. I want reassurance that our dues are being used with fidelity.

The financials for the ************* community are placed on a community homeowner portal every month for residents to view as often as they please. We cannot force homeowners to make an account to view their account history as well as the community documents and financials.

The board and Community Asset Management review the financials and any work that needs to be completed during their monthly board and annual meetings. Notices with the dates of every board meeting have been sent to all owners and they are located on our website as well as the homeowner portal so they can attend the meetings.

The board approved the sign to be completed as funds permitted as it is a cosmetic concern and not a hazard to the community. The lawn service company was not paid for any missed cuts that had taken place during the year, and the HOA has already approved to switch lawn service companies. Homeowners will need to pick up any trash that is outside of the receptacle as the trash removal company will not clean up trash that is on the ground.

Our office sends notification to owners that are improperly placing trash on the property, parking illegally, leaving toys and items on the property, etc. as they are against community documents that previously was stated should be enforced by the homeowner. Our office does not pick and choose which documents are followed and which are not.

As stated before we have all the documents since CAM has taken over management in 2020 placed on the homeowner portal for review. The homeowner does not qualify for any refund from the association.

We are unable to respond to comments regarding the previous management company and boards prior to CAM taking over management.
