    Seeking a refund of $215.77 for cancelation of a KOA stay. 2 week reservation made on 10-31-21. Stay start date 10-1-22 to 10-15-22. After one night, on 10-2-22 told owner we would be leaving on 10-7-22. Reason for leaving: No WIFI or Cell service and poor unsafe conditions. Website states there is WIFI available - so I anticipated working the 2nd week during stay. In addition, horrible and dangerous safety issues. Wires nailed to trees, bathrooms broken, and no other word than disgusting. (We have pics upon request) On 10-6-22 day before we leave, the owner refuses to process a refund and says she is being nice by giving us 1/2. The KOA refund policy is 48 hours notice for full refund. They received more than 48 hours notes. When confronted, they threatened us. We left immediately as we were concerned for our safety. This issue is for 2 sites. They basically kept $430+ of our money.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    The Kinzua East KOA referenced a KOA Holiday and Special Events Cancellation policy, however, the Kinzua East KOA does not list any special events or holidays other than a May and September (National KOA) special event.  The reservation confirmation from Kinzua does not list any cancellation policy that would differ from the national KOA cancellation policy which requires a full refund and it doesn't include any special event dates for a cancellation deviation.

    The threat we were subject too, was a statement from the male owner stating if we didn't like the 1/2 refund we were receiving they would take it all from us.  This caused us to have to cancel our credit cards and file a complaint with the FDIC backed bank.
