Since weavers took over our account they continue to leave trash behind. This occurred again last night. When I called them , they refused to come and get the trash. We just paid the $80 for quarterly service and would like refunded. We no longer will use their services.

Hello, I fell I have been deceived by this company. On 6/2 I reached out to inquire about having a dumpster delivered to sell scrap metals. I was told that yes they did offer this service and that I needed to pay of the dumpster first and then I would receive a check from a separated entity when the metals were weighted at a "transfer station". I asked what the price per pound would be and they said that information as not available but I would receive a check after the materials were received at the transfer station. I felt a little uneasy about not knowing how much each metal would be sold for and inquired about it when i called in to have the dumpster switched out. I was again told that the information was not available but I would receive a check. On 6/28 I received the check in the mail. For 8,780 total lbs I received $439.00. I emailed to ask if there had been a mistake and requested a breakdown per metal. I was told that it was correct and at this time I was told that the unit price is $5.00 for every 100 lbs. I explained that the copper that had placed in the dumpster was worth much more than .05 cents a pound. I had sold scrap the month before and it was $3.30 a pound. My complaint is this, If I had been told the unit price, which they have now demonstrated they knew, I would have been able to take my scrap elsewhere. I feel I was purposefully mislead and information was withheld so they could pay me penny's on the dollar for my material. I have asked them to return my material and refund my money for the dumpsters but do not feel they will do so. is there anything you can do?

We are primarily a waste hauling company that has been in business since the 1960’s. We pick up about 8,000 residential customers and 1800 commercial dumpsters per week in multiple counties. We haul thousands of roll off containers for individuals and businesses every year. We have never had someone file a compliant against us with BBB. We haul municipal waste, residual waste, construction demo waste, recycled wood pallets and scrap steel in roll offs every day. As far as the complaint goes, we were called and contracted to set a roll off container for scrap metal. We are not a scrap metal processer so all we do is the hauling. We charge our fee for setting the roll off, picking it up, and hauling it to the scrap yard. When a load of scrap is picked up, we haul it in to the scrap yard and the check is made out for the scrap to the customer. We have never had a customer think that they could mix copper and other metals together and think that the scrap yard would separate every piece and pay them for the different things they put in a 30 yd roll off box. When a mixed load goes in, tin price is paid for the whole load. If a customer goes into a scrap yard and separates all the products then they get paid for individualized products. I believe this customer made a mistake in thinking he could mix all his products and get paid for them separately which is not the case. I don’t care which scrap yard you call, unless you have the products separated for recycling you get paid a steel or tin price. If the customer would have called us and said that he had different products to haul we would have set up different boxes for each product and then he would have been paid the price for each product, although he would have paid for multiple dumpsters. I personally called the customer after he contacted my office by email but I got his voice mail. I tried to explain his situation and told him to call me if he wanted to discuss this any further. He never called back to talk to me. So now, instead of trying to educate himself on what he did wrong by discussing it, he has contacted you and placed negative google reviews for my company. In the email he sent us and the complaint he sent you, he is asking for my company to give him back the money he paid us to haul the material. My company provided the dumpsters at the date agreed to, picked up the dumpsters on the date agreed to, hauled the material to the scrap yard, paid my fuel, paid my drivers, and sent the customer the check for his material. I don’t know how he expects me to pay him for something that he did in error. If he had different products to recycle than they should have been separated.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First, I would like to thank the business for their response, but the facts remain the same. I as the customer was not made aware of the processes explained in their response, even after repeated inquire. If I had been given this information, I would have found other means for transporting my scrap metal to the scrap yard. I only hope that moving forward this company explains their processes to future customers as well as they have explained it in their response here. As a small business owner myself, I understand the importance of good customer service and always treating the customer with respect while giving them the proper information to make an informed decision.

      Regards,
