    01/03/2024 i had thomas&thomas general construction put laminate flooring in two rooms of my house. He told me he would have to put filler between the cracks in the subfloor.October of 2024 i gave him a call to come to the house.The filler he put between the small cracks in the subfloor humped up.He told me he would be back in December of 2024 to fix it.He never came back.I told him to look at the laminate flooring i put in years before with no filler still looks good.

    In response to the following complaint  ID ********

    In January 2024 there was a verbal agreement between both parties stating if an issue arose with the flooring that ****** and ****** installed, we would fix it. Client never called to schedule a day and time for ****** and ****** ** to fix the issue. The work is insured for a year. The conversation that was had in October 2024 between both parties ended on the understanding that ********* would let us know when we could return to remedy the issue. We never received a phone call. ****** let ******** know that he would be busy but would have time in December to fix the issue. Client responded with its not that big of a deal, I will let you know. 

    For context, ********* was frequently visiting his dying wife in the hospital the entire duration of the job. ****** took time to talk to ********* about his circumstances, and even help that joined on the last day of work spent the day shoveling as it was snowing heavily during this time. 


    ****** and ****** ** would have appreciated correspondence to schedule a day and time to correct the issue. After checking call records and emails, we cannot find correspondence from the client about setting up a time. It is important for clients to keep important information and call us to schedule, since the ball was left in clients court to let us know when hed like us to return. 

    We are grateful for the opportunity to speak our side of this issue. Since receiving the letter from the BBB we have again offered to return to fix issue. However, during a phone call in April client seemed distressed on the phone and we would have appreciated a third party to help with correspondence as client has shown behaviors that are damaging to our reputation and should have no influence.
