5/14/24 inquired about a Dj for Adult grad school graduation party 5/15/24 received text of their availability 6/1/246pm-10pm 5/24/24; $100 Deposit made for DJ Services (Adult Graduation Party)I had been in communication with Sheerie& ****** throughout the weeks to verify lighting/details 5/31/24: $300 Balance paid for DJ Services I was told someone else would come to set up and be there unitil DJ (******) arrives later 6/1/24: about 5:00pm a lady arrive & state, shes here to set up for the DeeJay About 5:20pm The same lady(didn't get her name) asked me- "how old is the person the party is for?" I replied 24. She mentioned - he is the DJ (it was a kid to my left), I stated who- because I did not see an adult in the vicinity. Learned that she was the mother of the 12 year old child whose company she was the employee for sent him here to deejay for the night and no one else was Was baffled, called Ree-ReeCEO called ****** 3x's each & texted because no where was it written or mentioned that a Child would be dj an Adult Party where Alcohol would be served We did not hire a child to dj an adult party nor was trying to take the risk of any liability ******* finally called I asked for a refund 2x's, she said she'd issue it and I went to tell the mother of the 12 year old boy they can get their equipment since they set up.sent text immediately after to notate last call with, "Per our conversation we are awaiting a full refund 6/1/24 @ 5:33pm 6/3/24 - Ree-Ree the Clown refunded $240 and stated, they have a no refund policy for last minute cancellations and mentioned i ordered a ***** ** and his portion is non refundable. We never ordered a "***** **' because we would not expect a 12 year old to work an adult party. Working papers are issued starting at the age 14.We'd like a full refund because we did not get services we paid for& communication never clarified that a 12 year old would Dj an adult party where alcohol is served. Sherefunded ******, asking for $160.00

***** called excited to request Services that she had witnessed at an event that we service weeks prior.
her wording was ******* asked that she have the same ** services that Cyan had at her party? I told her I dont know if that could happen, but I would try! Is that possible?
Attached is the screenshot of her first text message where I reiterated her request.
I explained to her that the first DJ would set up and start and the second DJ would follow just as she saw at the other event.
although ***** did not follow the guidelines of the contract and pay her invoice by the contracted time. I allowed her to pay late and fulfilled the request the following day.
***** called hysterically using vulgar language to me over the phone, the DJs mother, and whomever would listen in order to express her disappointment that the starting DJ was a minor.
I explained to her that this was her request and the exact set up that was at the event that she referenced to while booking. she explained that she would never request a minor DJ at an all adult event where alcohol is being served.
I explained to her that this information was never communicated with me during booking, nor during our multiple text conversations, I was only fulfilling the request.
I also explained that the ***** ** is highly qualified and has a very extensive rsum.
he is contracted with us to service multiple corporate events, and he freelances under his mothers company. because he is a minor, she is always present to monitor him as the Pennsylvania law states when theres alcohol present as a precaution and for safety.

I also tried to reassure her that the event will go smoothly, and she will be highly satisfied with the combination of the ***** ** and older DJ just as she witnessed in prior to booking with us.
she yelled out. The mom said shes the only one thats going to be here and started blurting language where I had to end the conversation and resort to text messaging to avoid a hostile situation.
    ***** demanded that the ***** ** leave.
ive been called the young **s mother on her personal phone and ask her to pack up all of their equipment, and I offered them an apology and explained that theres a contract so they will receive their portion of their pay as contracted.

I also explained to ***** that because they were fully set up and fulfilled the contract as requested. I will not offer a refund as stated on the contract.
I believe that I am a fair businesswoman with over 23 years of experience in the entertainment and planning business and morally, I refunded ***** for all services except for the Pay and the set up of the ***** ** and his mother who were on time and fully prepared to start her event. I did this in spite of the fact that the contract clearly states that all payments are nonrefundable and I suffered a monetary loss due to her cancellation.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

We are rejecting the reply because the business owner failed to advise that a 12 year old boy without working papers would be A DJ for an adult party with alcoholic beverages.  We learned that after they set up their equipment . It is the business owner responsibility to pay her staff not ours. Does Pennsylvanias labor law  allow 12 year old children to work? No, working papers are issued at age 14, therefore it makes no sense that wed be willing to break the law and never consider asking for it agreeing to a Child to conduct adult business. A consumer should be held harmless when a business does not clearly state things that are illegal to be agreed upon and we did not agree to this at all. Thats why the boy mother asked-how old is the person this party is for-after I told her she said - hes the Dj and I said who-as there was not another adult with her. She said the company sent him here.  We should not have had to be liable for an underage person in an adult setting with adult activity. No services were rendered.

I understand your concerns regarding alcohol being sold at your event. However, Ree Ree the Clown and Friends had no prior knowledge of the sell of alcoholic beverages at this event space. It is not publicly labeled as a Bar or drinking facility. No was this information provided when the original request was made for services from April H.

The request from April H. was clearly to mimic the amazing entertainment services rendered from a previous client and transfer those services to the event in question.

Ree Ree the Clown and Friends is only a referral service on this contract who by the request of April H., provided access to a combination of two DJ services. We fulfilled our duties to this contract.
Each DJ, who was scheduled to perform, has the right to request lost wages from the result of April H.s last minute cancellation via the terms of service on the contract. Therefore, no further monies will be distributed.

In good faith, Ree Ree the Clown and Friends has surrendered their portion of loss wages. The second DJ has also loss revenue due to April H.s choice to cancel and it is his responsibility to persue April H. for loss wages.

Bbb, apologies for missing the last email. We had some family matters underway-and I for way behind on emails and did not reply within the 10 day window.  Would hope a ***** could apply as we waited more than 6 weeks for our case to be reviewed. The Clown ********** refuses to bring this whole and refund us 100% is extremely unfortunate. Child labor laws does not even permit *************************************** ************ as they had a 12 year old working. Her business is more suspect for their actions because she knew it was for an adult and Failed to ask an alcoholic beverage being soon the setting she she was the only person to know a child was working on her payroll.  We are not happy with the results at all of not being fully reimbursed. Buyers beware!
