      Cancelled service for deceased mother & mailed back the equipment. 3 years later discover that the annual charge was not removed from my bank account. ********************************************* acknowledges receiving equipment but claims a ************** button were missing but FAILED to notify me of same and continue to bill. Ive called 4 times to attempt resolution to no avail. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-AVOID THIS **********************! Spoke to ****, *** (hung up on me). Said call was being escalated but never received response. Now will alert every agency possible of this deceptive practice.

      Beware if you are grieving the death of a loved one and you do not IMMEDIATELY CANCEL AND RETURN the equipment and remember to call two weeks later. They will charge you for the full billing cycle from the date they mark your equipment received and they will bill you for the full next year if you do not remember to call them two weeks after returning the equipment. For a company that caters to protecting the infirm and elderly, this is callous treatment, and horrible business practice and inhumane to those dealing with a death in the family. The second time I spoke with a company representative after return of the equipment, I was told I would get a refund, but it was $79.95 short. They actually charge a $35 re-stocking fee! And they bill you for a cycle even when you have cancelled the service and disconnected the equipment, based on the date they receive the returned equipment. It is shameful.

      I have returned the equipment. They refuse to credit my money back and keep calling to tell me I owe them!!! They refuse to send me any billing statements. I am getting nowhere with this company.I am not able to put a comment on their ******** page warning people not to use them. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS COMPANY!!! It is a scam company It doesnt allow me to do less than one star rating

      I cancelled the monitoring service and returned the device. After the final payment, I kept receiving bills for recurring charges. Ive tried contacting the company. Email is nowhere to be found. I called and after a long wait time finally spoke to someone in customer service. They verified my final payment but couldnt explain the recurring charges. They transferred me to billing who hung up as soon as I started speaking, I would NOT recommend MedicalAlert/ConnectAmerica to anyone.

      Used the service for one year. Spotty service and even had to have a different unit to work in my area but still spotty service. Returned the equipment in good working order along with the other item in original box beginning 2 days before contract year. Was charged $539.40 within 24 hours of my anniversary date and now being told it will take 30 days to get a refund. I hope I receive my full refund and not like the other reviews that I have read. I don't under stand, in this day of computers and electronics, how it takes so long for a refund to be administered when it only take hours to be charged.

      I was charged $273.03, returned the equipment unused and in its original packaging, canceled my account, did not sign the contract, had to wait thirty business days from cancelation to receive a refund and even to know the amount, and was then told that my refund is only in the amount of $105!

      On 26 December 2024, I emailed my contact at this company to ***ort an issue with the functionality of the device. My brother was charged the monthly fee days later. After 4 (four) more emails my contact ***lied on 13 January 2025 with an apology. My contact then stated she'd forward my cancellation of service on and a ***resentative would follow up. On 28 January 2025, ***, another monthly charge. So, I emailed again and finally decided to phone on my own even though previous phone calls were met with no solution (wait times were astronomical and when I did complete the automated 'call back' request, no one called back). The *** on the other end of the phone claims there's no note to cancel service. The *** on the other end refused to credit the charges stating also that all charges remain until devices are received. Stay tuned, fingers crossed we get our $96+ back. Incompetent and borders on fraudulent business ************* CAN YOU RATE THIS BUSINESS AN 'A+' FOLKS, DO YOU READ THE REVIEWS?

      I cancelled service and the run around began. Back and forth. I have an email from an agent (after seventeen tries, saying my service has been cancelled yet I am getting constant calls 'needing my payment updated.' My mom passed. The service is not needed. Why are they hounding us? It's like a bad SNL sketch. I did see the same names over and over here. They must all just use the names interchanged. I've contacted the *** fraud department.

      service was terminated 7-19-2024. paid all bills. contacted company-did not want equipment returned. we keep getting bills -contacted company twice told service was disconnected and not to pay the bill. they would take care of it. still receiving bills customer is 91 years old and does not comprehend well---believe company is trying to take advantage of her.

      Per ******** ******, from our ********************************** Team, who reviewed the acct, the ******************** unit has indeed been offline, so, the balance will be credited off to reflect a zero balance and to stop all collection calls. Ms. ****** says a call will be placed to follow up with the customer to let them know the acct is finalized, closed and canceled

      The refund policy was not honored. I emailed Daniel H. over and over after he sent the refund label and the package (unopened) was received. Spoke to a rep (Maria E ) who told me that a refund was never initiated. Asked to speak with a manager and "they were busy." I will never see the 300 dollar refund. I wrote to the BBB and the company has no record of the purchase. I should have researched prior. Despicable.
      I can also provide, email exchange, refund label, tracking information and people I've spoken with.
