A Conservator washing machine (NTW3811S) was purchased on 7/3/23 for $689, check 3798, from R. W. McDonald and Sons. It was delivered 7/10/23 and was used on 7/21/23. Two men arrived to install the new washer and haul the old one away. One man talked to my 81 year old mother about a Crusher Lebowski article that was hanging in the basement. The other hooked up the new washer hose incorrectly.
The new hose was not reinstalled the way the old one was. Once it reached the rinse cycle, water forcefully ejected onto the wall and floor. I immediately turned it off, but by then water covered the floor and electrical wires for the deep freezer and fridge were laying in the water.
I called R. W. McDonald and sons that Friday afternoon to ask for assistance in cleaning up the water and fixing the washer drain hose.
Julie, in the office, said there was nothing she could do. No one was available. I then asked about having them hire a handyman to fix the dangerous issue. She said she couldn’t do that and did not contact the owner about how to handle the situation. I then offered to hire a handyman and requested for reimbursement if I did so.
At that time Julie started yelling at me and told me to contact their lawyer. She provided a name and number. I called and left a message.
I then hired a handyman man who came out at 5 o’clock that Friday. He removed as much water as he could with a shop vac, hooked up a dehumidifier, and correctly installed the washer drain hose. He charged a mere $100.
I contacted R. W. McDonald and sons on Monday with this information. Julie had still not spoken to the owner. I contacted Julie again on Friday and she still “had not had a chance to talk to the owner. “ I contacted Julie again the following Tuesday. I informed her if I did not hear back from them by Friday, I would contact the BBB.
When workers returned 1 said it should have been hooked up the way the old one had been.
      The issue remains unresolved.

WE DID HERE FROM THE CUSTOMERS DAUGHTER  2 WEEKS AFTER THE PURCHASE  TOO LET US KNOW THAT THE WASHER WAS HOOKED UP TO THE DRAIN PIPE AND NOT THE BASIN, UN KNOWING BY ALL PARTIES THAT THE DRAIN PIPE WAS DAMAGED AND THAT WAS THE REASON FOR IT BEING CONNECTED TO THE BASIN. CUSTOMER TOLD THE OFFICE THAT THE HUSBAND HAD PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED OLD WASHER. WHEN SHE CALLED IN THE FIRST TIME SHE SPOKE TO JULIE AND SAID SHE HAD A POOL OF WATER ON THE FLOOR. JULIE WAS CONCERNED AND ASKED ABOUT THE TYPE OF FLOOR (WORRIED ABOUT DAMAGE) AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A CONCRETE FLOOR IN BASEMENT. CUSTOMER WANTED SOMEONE FROM RW TO COME WIPE THE FLOORS JULIE DID TELL THE CUSTOMER'S DAUGHTER THAT THERE WAS NO ONE  THAT COULD COME OUT SHE THEN ASKED COULD IT NOT JUST BE CLEANED WITH TOWELS , CUSTOMER STATED BOTH HER AND MOTHER WERE DISABLED . IT WAS AFTER THE DELIVERY TEAM HAD LEFT FOR THE WEEKEND BUT SHE WOULD LET MR. MCDONALD KNOW AND WE COULD SEND OUT THE TEAM TO  HOOK UP THE HOSE TO BASIN. SHE ASKED IF SHE HIRED A HANDY MAN WOULD WE REIMBURSE HER,JULIE EXPLAINED SHE HAD NO AUTHORITY TO APPROVE THIS, ONLY THE OWNER COULD AND SHE WOULD PASS ALONG THE MESSAGE. CUSTOMERS DAUGHTER CALLED SEVERAL TIMES INQUIRING ABOUT GETTING THE MONEY BACK FOR HIRING A HANDYMAN TO CLEAN THE WATER, THE CUSTOMER  BROUGHT UP CALLING AN ATTORNEY AT WHICH TIME WHILE SPEAKING TO JULIE SHE LET THEM KNOW THAT IF IT WENT TO A LEGAL STANDING THAT SHE COULD NO LONGER HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH THEM AND THEY WOULD NEED TO SPEAK TO THE STORE ATTORNEY. THE OWNER WAS OUT OF TOWN BUT WAS MADE AWARE IF THE CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINT..

i bought a desk on 1/28/23 and was told by the clerk that it would be a 4-6 week wait which i had no problem with. after 4+ weeks i called and was informed that the wait time is now 3-4 more months. had i knows that i would have not bought it in the first place. on the receipt it states that there is a 30% restocking fee for ordered products. i get that but this was a shady business practice to tell me 4-6 weeks in the first place. i should not have to pay $300 to not have a desk. i have called and talked to multiple people and no one will give me a full refund nad they give me the classic excuse of "the owner is out of town"
i start a new job next week that requires a desk and now i wont have a desk till july after i ordered it in january. all i want is a full refund so i can take my business elsewhere and get the desk that i need next week. i should not have to pay a 30% restocking fee when they lied to me on the delivery time and if the manufacture changed the wait time that is not my fault and should not be my problem for wanting a full refund. i have over $1000k into this so its not like i can just go get another one. . they should tell you upfront the wait time or should not be selling a product that they cant get in stock. they offered me a loaner but i do not want a loner cause i should not have to set up a full workstation twice. i would like a full refund and nothing more. thank you
