  Very pleased with the service delivered on-site as the plumber was friendly and competent, and they got someone out the same day which was important since we were having a countertop install done in the bathroom and the water shut-off valves were no longer working requiring us to shut down water in the house. The cost however was extremely high (over $500/hour of effort ) and was not quoted before the plumber was at the house. Supplies were mostly limited to 2 pairs of water shut-off valves, the installation took a bit less than 2 hours, but the cost was over $1200. Since the invoice did not detail what was labor vs parts vs same-day fee, it is unclear how things added up, but overall very very pricy.

  The good news: After we called ACS, **** came the next day to fix a water drip over the coat closet from the toilet overflow on the second floor. The bad news: After a quick review, he suggested that the toilet was clogged and that was the cause of the problem. He used a 'snake' to try to unclog it, and caused a lot of water to overflow in the bathroom and onto the closet again, through the living room floor to the basement. The toilet was not clogged, as when flushed the water in a cyclone fashion, delayed but went through. During this operation,, ***** had spilled all over and he asked for towels or rags to dry the bathroom--which he should have brought with him. The water kept dripping and I had to place a bucket to avoid it more damage to the closet and floor, He concluded without further research, that he needed to place a camera inside the toilet drain pipe to see where the clog was, and would let us know the cost. He also suggested to replace the whole main drain cast iron pipe as it was in poor shape. He also had to use our plunger, as he had not brought his tools jnto the house. At the same time, his truck was left running, as if he had another appointment at the end of the day. He collected his fee of $ 164 for coming and using the 'snake'. After pulling hard the front door handle, it broke and we were locked inside. Fortunately, he helped to open the door and taped it with duct tape that we had as well our s**** driver. In summary, my wife and I think that he was not interested in solving the problem and left us with the drip. He didn't care to hear what I was telling him about the overflow that was the real cause of the problem--water seeping under the toilet to a hole over the closet. Fortunately, the drip has stopped now by itself, and we don't need the toilet removal nor the camera check-up. The cast iron main drain is still working fine and does not need replacement for now. We did not have a good experience with him.
