    Rip off. I wouldn't recommend this insurance to anyone. They will take your money but you better read the fine print. I wouldn't give a star rating at all but you must choose at least a one. They deserve a 0.

    We've had this insurance for a five years and have used it only twice. The service has always been excellent, timeliness, professional and courteous. Anyone living amongst a lot of mature trees should have this coverage. We are glad we made the decision.

    On November 25, 2024, we had a flood in our en suite guest bedroom and some water leaked into the living room as well. I contacted plumbers DayandNight who came out immediately and assessed the situation. They in turn contacted DryStar Restoration that acted swiftly to clear the water and to remove all items into a pod in the backyard they constructed and to set up fans and dehumidifiers that dried the area from Nov 25 to Nov 30. During this incident I contacted Home Serv who said they would not approve DayandNight but had their own company Moon Valley they recommended. However, HomeServ **** indicated that if Day and Night did not clear the sewer pipe problem, HomeServ would not pay for the reconstruction of the damaged pipes even if Moon Valley repaired those pipes. Two Moon Valley staff confirmed to me that Home Serv would not reimbursement them for repairs if they did not fix the sewer and correct the problem. But Moon Valley was unable to correct the problem until the following MONDAY! I indicated to Home Serv and to *********** that the sewer had to be cleared ASAP, since the problem affected all the other bathrooms in the house and the kitchen; we could not turn on any water until the sewer problem was cleared, and if that was not done immediately we would have to move out of the house (who would pay for that?) for several days. ******** appears to be unable to handle emergencies, refused to approve DayandNight, an outstanding A+BBB company. We were stuck with a DayandNight bill of $4042.00 not covered by insurance, but which I believe should be covered by either the city of Tempe which selected ******** as its outsource company for plumbing/sewer problems, or by HomeServ which failed to understand the emergency situation or approve DayandNight. HomeServ staff were unfriendly and sometimes rude and seemed utterly unable to understand the need to clear the sewer immediately, so we could stay in our house.

    Absolutely terrible! Terrible. Weasel insurance company that is more than happy to collect your monthly payments but does not want to cover what they their contract says it should cover. I have top-of-the-line camera footage showing roots and a collapse in the main sewer drain and they are refusing to cover it. Another shifty aspect of this company to take note of is that when you go to their website, you cannot review the policy. It takes five days to get them to send you the policy which I still have yet to receive 10 days later they don’t want you to know their policy or be able to access the terms of their policy with you because they don’t want you to use it I clearly been wasting my money for the last several years, paying for multiple coverages on multiple things on my property for no reason now that I’ve had direct experience with this company I see that they are completely useless and worthless, and just taking money out of the pockets of hard-working people, and then keeping it for themselves and not honoring the terms of their policy …..

    Plumbing service company came twice. The leak was detected on the first visit and was repaired on the second visit, which involved cutting concrete, repairing a pipe, then adding back concrete. The process took more than a few hours. The service people were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly, and they explained the process to me before they started. Very glad I had SLWA coverage for this repair!!!
