      5/15/23 & 9/18/23. **** at affordable decks was to build us a deck and covered porch. Seemed like a very nice guy very attentive lived close came by often to drop sample off change plans ect. We had lots of conversations. We told him we ordered a new sliding glass door the entire length of the wall, just for conversation purposes. He said it would look so nice he did it at his house. It really didn't matter because the roof was supposed to be built off the current roofline. He promised it would look like it was built with the house. He provided us a realistic 3D CAD drawing of the project and it was exactly like we wanted. I informed him a few days after our last meeting on 9/18 that ***** was ready to install door and he said he would be here 1st and be done before them. His subs come and say not to get the railing we had chosen and also to drop the roof and not do it like planned because it wasn't right. I told the ***** about my door, and he said how big is it I said same height but entire length of wall. I texted **** told him about these things and asked what his thoughts are, and he said they don't want to do the railing because it is a pain and then he will come the next day to go over plans, so we are all on the same page. That never happened. ***** put the beams inside of house and I immediately texted **** that I think they are too low. He said he will stop before his trip for golf and look. He said they are fine, and my door will fit. He was wrong. When I told him while he was away on his golf outing that it's too low, he said too bad buy a new door. There were no change orders to change the roof from the plan, it was never discussed. ***** did what he wanted, and **** didn't do anything about it. Our railing is all screwed up its falling apart, brackets cut drink rail coming off and loose. Ceiling sagging soffit sagging, stairs not to code, it is not what we were presented. Fascia a mess & coming off. So much more that can't fit.

      I have more information to add to this complaint. **** at Affordable Decks of Washington County never called for inspections of the roof or stairs or final inspection to obtain a certificate of occupancy. The inspectors were out today and A) they violated state law and B) they built the deck differently than the plans submitted 

      The stairs are not to code and are considered dangerous and a tripping hazard.
      And the roof is beong deemed unsafe. The county is issuing a cease and desist to us that our deck is to be condemed and unusable due to major safety concerns over the roof.

      Also according to PA docket search **** and Affordable decks are serial offenders.

      This complaint is not for our company. It should be directed to Affordable Decks of Washington County which clearly is on the contract. We have talked with **** the owner and he informed us he is working with the customer.
