My Situation is quite disappointing and unfortunate.I paid Christine Capone on April 4th, 2022 for her services to update/refresh my current website. The proposed time frame was 2-4 weeks. All I had after more than six weeks were ten or more messages indicating that she was almost finished and promised to send me screenshots of her progress. Never was a single screenshot sent. We had a quick Zoom meeting during which she showed me a fairly basic home page design where she popped in a few of the pictures I had supplied her. It was a pretty simple template, well below the caliber of work she displays in the samples on her website. After that meeting, I sensed trouble. Her delays and endless justifications persisted along with her promises.I made a complete refund request on May 16, 2022. Despite my repeated requests for weeks, she has yet to fulfill her promise of a refund. Finally, I made the decision to file a dispute with my bank for her failure to provide the promised services. She responded to my email on May 9th,2022 after I informed her that I had filed a dispute with... "So you filed a dispute even though I promised to reimburse you...WOW?" My bank informed me that I needed to receive the reimbursement directly through her Square account, which led to them closing the dispute.I gave her till August 12th, 2022, in good faith, to return my money. I have received nothing as of the time of this review. To this day, I have never written a review of poor service?s on any business. ?I felt it was important to do my part to prevent others from falling victim to a similar circumstance. On the BBB website, you can also come across reviews that seem very similar to mine.Be cautious, don't pay for services until the work is completed!Christine Capone Creative LLC

While I am quite sorry that this project did not end the way that I had envisioned, these words are not completely justified. I always deliver my best work and feel that there was some outside influence in the client's abrupt decision to not fulfill our agreement.Being that there are hours involved in a design project, a refund is not always warranted. My terms clearly state so. I however, agreed to discuss making the client happy but was faced with a credit card dispute before we had the chance to discuss. On our last Zoom meeting, she had stated that it needed to be finished within a given timeframe and that speed was not as important to her than having a well designed website. I was working well within said timeframe but was then told just a day or so later to discontinue services.Note: It appears to me that the client took the lead of another past client who left a poor review here, midway through the project and these words are not genuine. Being that I have been in business since 2010 and have hundreds of happy clients, which I can provide to anyone who wishes to see them, seeing a handful of clients who did not get their way, is quite sad. I am one person and cannot work as expeditiously as some may wish but I always produce exceptional work. Projects who are rushed are never timeless. BBB has become an avenue that now clients use as a threat and a way to bully small business owners into getting a refund even though my terms clearly state that they are placing a "non refundable retainer" at the start of every project.Michelle J.

The first principle of integrity "Take responsibility for your decisions"so sad. As I mentioned before, be very cautious and don't pay upfront for work.Review fromAnhelina F

I was really excited to work with Christine. Her portfolio was impressive and I was confident she would create a great website for my business. From the beginning she was really nice and was reassured how great it was going to be work together. I wish that were the case! From the initial consultation she never understood what my goals are, my style, layout, fonts etc. Even though Ive made it very clear from the beginning. I even wrote down the fonts I like and specific colors. Once she sent me my branding mock up I knew it was all going to do downhill from there. Everything seemed rushed, like she was copying and pasting random things just to create a color palette for me. But stupidly, I paid her another $1K to keep going. From then on, the logo wasnt impressive. She just copied her own. The amount of revisions we would agree on is insane and she would still go on to add her twist because she felt thats what I wanted. Christine promised me a website in 2 months. We started in March and werent even close to being done at the end of June. The project total was $3K. I paid her $2K and asked for at least a $1K refund since theres no website and I wont be using her logo either. I felt like that was fair. She refused, said I signed a contract and said she did everything I wanted and that I need to be more responsive so she can understand what it is that I needed. I can't teach someone design! That's what I hire people for. This entire experience is the worst Ive ever had with any graphic designer. Ive had better experiences on Etsy paying $20. Ive lost a lot of time, money and energy working with her and hope you dont make the same mistake as I did by hiring her. Stay away and find someone more qualified! Get references, read reviews. Good luck to everyone reading this.Christine Capone Creative LLC

So sorry that you feel this way. I understand that perhaps, this was your first time working with a professional brand strategist and designer. When I delivered your logos you were very happy with them. Comments like they look so nice and so pretty, thank you made me feel that you were happy with the work that I was doing. At that point, if you were not happy with my designs, you had the opportunity to say otherwise. We moved on to the the website with me carefully taking into consideration, the examples, the conversation, and your overall brand. Building a website is something that takes feedback and sometimes more than one revisions, in fact sometimes quite a few. I gave you a lot of opportunities to provide this and it started out good but something happened where it became criticism when I was simply trying to project your unique brand. If you didnt like the layout, it could have been easily changed but I was going with the example of the template that you said that you liked while still keeping it unique to your brand. I was always 110% responsive to you and really committed to delivering a product that you loved. We began this project because I loved your personality. A branding project takes open communication in order to help the designer capture your brand. It is more than a pretty logo. I had sent emails on numerous occasions, asking for a meeting or to gather info and most times it took days upon days to get a reply and refusal to meet virtually. I am not sure what conspired, if you had someone on your end criticizing my work, but I feel that I have done beautiful work, maybe just not what you are envisioning. You hired me to be the branding expert for a reason. My #1 goal is to always make clients happy. Sometimes, it takes extra effort but for some reason, my best efforts seem to not be appreciated. The latest email from you is a threat to slander my name with bad work and pretty much calling me a thief? I dont feel that is fair. You havent let me finish what you hired me to do.. As far as a refund goes.. you signed a contract and I encourage you to review it. I have offered to finish the project while deducting the remaining balance, which is more than fair. You received your logos of which you stated that you were happy with and then also went ahead and paid an installment to move forward. I am a reasonable and understanding person, so lets please just figure this out and move forward as planned. I only need a better understanding of what it is that is in your vision.Review fromJean P

Christine created beautiful logos and graphics for me. I happened upon her website because I just loved the font face she was using, and after looking through her portfolio, I inquired about her services and pricing. She and I had a discussion about my wants/needs/goals/vision. She then curated the logos based on our discussion and did an amazing job. I could not have asked for a more perfect logo design than what she gave me. It was elegant, understated, chic... all the things I was going for. I've been following her work for a long time and she does an amazing job. Acquaintances of mine who have had her do website designs for them have raved about how beautiful the website she created for them was and how it didn't take her forever and a day to do them. I would recommend her services to anyone with an ear to listen. She is professional, knowledgable, talented, kind, and really cares about her customers.Christine Capone Creative LLC
