    I hired a private accounting agency to manage my taxes for me as I own a small business that my husband and I started within the last couple of years. For the 2022 tax season I had reached out to this company to take care of my taxes as I have never had to file for a small business before and was unsure of what to do. I had instructed them to use 'Quickbooks' as that is what I had used to track all of my small business's expenses. They are now claiming that I had never instructed them to use 'Quickbooks' and that I now owe ****** dollars in overdue taxes due to penalties and fines. As for our 2023 taxes we will owe roughly ****** for unpaid quarterly taxes as we were not told we would owe because of 2022s results that they messed up. This was a complete oversight of the opposing party and the private accounting agency the blame and penalties are being put upon my husband and I whenever we were ignorant to what was going on. My emails, calls, and all other forms of communication have been met with unresponsiveness for weeks. I was forced to get an extension in order to have more time to figure this out. I had put my faith within a private company which had thoroughly assured me that I was taken care and that there would be "nothing to worry about" when in reality the instructions I had given were ignored, and now we are facing the consequences of their actions. They had access to all of the necessary information to file my husband and I's taxes correctly as they had access to our prior tax years and business information on Quickbooks' and still went against our wishes and did the way which they deemed to be best which has now led to the consequence of owing more than $40.000 overdue tax. We are now facing the threat of bankruptcy all because we were unaware of how to file correctly as a business, and when contracting another company to do them for us, they did them wrong. They didn't follow directions, and we are now facing the consequences for the actions of others
