    I have to agree that the Better Business Bureau as a company is not good. My complaint against a company taking my money was dismissed by the BBB in about one week. My complaint was not thoroughly investigated, the company just said they'd done nothing wrong, and the BBB closed the case. Ridiculous. I reached out to them for help, and they were utterly useless. I'll never use them again.

    I'm sorry that you are not happy about the outcome of your BBB complaint filed with the BBB of Southeast Florida & the Caribbean. In researching you filed a BBB dispute against a moving company located in Florida. The company is not BBB Accredited and has a B rating for a high volume of complaints as the date of this reply. As the BBB serving Western Pennsylvania, we were not involved with your dispute but it is not unusual for moving companies to get refund disputes like the one you submitted. BBBs are not regultory agencies and can't force a non-BBB accredited business to abide to industry regulations. If you were looking to move out of the state, you should file a dispute with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration or call them at 1-888-DOT-SAFT. If the move was within PA, contact the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission which regulates movers at 1-800-692-7380. I hope this helps.

    Business owners beware, this organization is not your friend! They allow misinformation and lies to be told about your business! A person (that my company did not do business with), was allowed to post lies about our business (after verbally threatening us as well). When the BBB of Western PA was called, they refused to do anything about the post. The Dispute Resolution Director said over the phone, she was ok with allowing misinformation and threats against business owners to be made, and that they could "do nothing about them". Take this into account before subscribing to their service!

    The BBB has had several discussions in the past few years about our customer review policy with this business owner. Recently, the owner was not happy about his negative BBB review by a consumer that wanted to inspect mechandise being sold online by the company. Unfortunately the company was not able to help them. BBB understands that no business wants to receive complaints/bad reviews and that they take steps to reduce them. BBB’s publishing of complaints/reviews and responses allows people to see firsthand a company’s concern for their customers. This allows businesses more of a voice in the our process, allowing consumers to directly observe a company’s response to customer issues. This company did provide a reply to their BBB customer review. BBB is sorry that this business owner does not agree with our policies nor recognizes that federal laws regulate the reporting of customer reviews by third parties which BBB follows.
