My truck had quite and they towed me to there shop. I ask them if they sold fuel filters and they said yes we can get them. I said thats probably what it needs.! So instead of listening to me, they did everything else but they tried to tell me that my truck was out of fuel that my fuel gauge didnt work he went to put fuel in it after they started it with ether just to find out they could only get 10 gallon in it so that was not the problem at all ! They charged me $10 a gallon, which is ridiculous. They never changed the filter like I said and had the audacity to charge me $187.50 just to shoot ether in it. It acted up about quit on me again I got to my destination, the next day I ordered filters for it change them and it started right up with no ether and has run great ever since! Also it was 318.00 to go 6 miles!

This vehicle was brought into our facility on 05/24/24 by our tow truck #*** #***** just hours before our closing on a holiday weekend. While I can not speak to your towing bill (which looks like a 2 hour minimum and fuel surcharge), I can let you know what transpired at PTC. Upon the arrival of the vehicle around 2 pm, and gaining authorization to work on the vehicle we found it to be in a state of crank no start. We determined that the vehicle's primary fuel filter (factory filter) had no fuel in the bowl. We inspected the filter and it was clean of debris and the bowl was fairly clean. This unit had an aftermarket filtration system as well that required special filters, and could not be visibly inspected internally. We filled the factory housing, primed the fuel system and the vehicle started. We also found and showed the customer that the primary fuel filter housing had been double gasketed and was likely pulling air into the system. An air leak into the fuel system of a diesel engine can cause numerous and substantial issues. The customer stated she had changed the filter herself and likely missed the old gasket and installed a second one. The customer stated to us that the vehicle is rarely driven and she had not put fuel into it for some time. We have no way of knowing if the fuel gauge was correct and recommended to add fuel since the filter housing was empty and the customer had no reasonable idea of how much fuel was in the truck. We added 10 gallons @ $6.00 per gallon and found at that point the tank was physically full and the gauge reflected that as well. Because it was so late in the day on a holiday weekend and we did not have the filters in stock, it was not likely we would be able to do anything additional before Tuesday. We allowed the vehicle to run at idle and high idled the vehicle for well over a half an hour with no further issues. We monitored the vehicle fuel pressure with a diagnostic scan tool to verify proper pressure and no active pressure codes were set and found no issue. We explained to the customer that her vehicle appears to be ready to go, but we could not verify the cause of the original issue with the exception of the double gasketed filter housing. We gave an option to leave the vehicle until we returned to work on Tuesday after the holiday, but the customer was traveling and made the decision to continue with her trip. We did everything in our power to help the motorist get back on the road and to the holiday destination she planned on as safely and efficiently as possible. I do not see anything we could have done in the circumstances to change the outcome, or better service this customer. I feel that the statements made by the customer are untrue as well as unjustified. The customer was charged 1.5 hours of labor @ $125.00 per hour instead of our regular 2 hour minimum because she was kind and in a bad position as well as also just being towed by us. She also failed to mention she was driving an extended cab dually diesel loaded with a 4WD large CC quad making a flatbed tow difficult to impossible. This meant she had to be towed by a medium duty wrecker, increasing the cost of the tow.
